Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
Im thinking drop spindles up front, with disks. I want a set of stock 15x7" steelies and some smaller tires maybe even some white walls. these rims are like 15x10" so there pretty big for the truck.
I wanna make a dirt bike carrier for the bed so i can haul my bikes around. I wanna lose the three on the tree someday and go 4 speed on the floor. the box needs to be repainted. haha the maker fills are starting to crack cause i used so much bondo on them, oh well ill run them till they fall out and put the maker back in haha. and the the truck needs two new front fenders. Also need to pull the cab and clip and paint the frame one of these days.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
yeah its still in the bed haha are they rare?
SICK man get back on those 20's keeps me healthy man. im gonna be working at a bike shop in town soon funding my project. cant wait haha. Quote:
yeah yeah thats what i wanna do why sacrifice one running truck when you could rebuild that 69 block. i have to pull it which will be the hardest part cause its way up in the boondocks outside merril. haha whats the cheapest way to get it running good again. least amount of machine work.. and parts bought. it'd be cherry in my truck.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
I think this looks great! I wish I could say I have that much done. Heck, I have had my old truck over twenty years now. I am getting my thoughts and head wrapped around things now, and trying to put together a budget. I think I am going to start with the brakes and move to the floor pan. Wish me luck and keep up the good work. We have to keep these classics on the road, ya know? God bless.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
Im rebuilding that motor in my blazer, and i should have less than 500 bucks in it. Of course i didnt need any machine work, but summit has SBC rebuild kits with felpro gaskets, and all bearings for under 300 bucks. Who knows, you might get lucky and just need to hone the cylinders, which you can do yourself. Working on these old smallblocks isnt quite rocket science.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
The connection looks good at the sending unit.. the gauge worked before i parked it last fall. i havent put any gas in till today and i was expecting the gauge to rise but it's still on empty.... all the other gauges work on the dash.
Thanks Rick!!!!!

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
My gas gauge quit workin awhile back, so I tore the tank apart and cleaned up the sending unit, it worked for a few days then stopped again. I said screw this, then found a 1/4 inch plastic rod about 2 feet long to stick down the filler neck to use as a redneck gas gauge. Ive been using it for 2 years and it hasnt broke/malfunctioned yet hahahaaa

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
Awh man one of my filler patches on the box fell out looks like thats the next project. idk if i should just spot repair it or repaint the whole beside. ill prolly just do a spot repair and then eventually paint the whole panel. sucks that these didnt hold in there. the other side is cracking too. but i fixed it once i can do it again right?
got some pics for you guys. pic of the chevy pic of this k5 thats up at the junkyard not to far from my house has some potential!

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
Just read this whole build from start to finish (almost 2 hours)! From what you started with to what you have now is crazy. The fenders on that blazer look like they're pretty useable. Do you still need 2 front ones?
