Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

Progress is coming along slowly but surely Passenger side is almost complete. After he welds were grinded down I applied some short strand kitty hair, then some rage gold. Alot of hrs and effort have gone into this but the end result is worth it the gaps and panels are eaven now.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

after i finish the gap dilema I will start work on the front suspension, and finally block, water sand, and spray. I will eliminate the spring and shock and do top and bottom tubular arms with a coil over, after fab work is complete i will remove the arms and send them out to chrome to match the finish on the rear, should look something like these

I agree with you on the evercoat rage. It is great stuff. Man, I wish I had you work the gaps on my son's square body. You are doing a great job. I like the coil over idea too.....looks like some more major $$$. Keeps the pics coming

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

Great work as usual. The gaps are coming along very nicely.

Too bad the factory couldn't have put a little more effort into making them better to start with.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

Started getting parts for the front suspension so far i have the top and bottom arms set for coil overs still brainstorming on how to mount them. Front end will be completly over hauled, i will go with a power rack n pinion and the C6 14'' rotors 6 piston corvette brakes on new spindles not sure wich ones will work but will make it happen. My bad for the crappy iphone pic, i was in a hurry

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

Past due update been busy working out of town staying in Palm Springs for the past 5 weeks. Check out my new K member, am waiting on more parts like spindles, billet hubs 5x4.75, power rack and pinion and the front wheels 18x6. I predict clearance issues from the spokes of the wheels to the face of the caliper, will brain storm a solution.

Good to see you are making progress.

Great looking parts as usual. Keep at it.
