Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy

I made a piece for the glove box. Since I am doing a GMC instead of c10 I didn't want the glove box emblem to say Chevrolet. So I made this out of a piece of chrome.

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy

Thanks guys. Paul you will be there in no time. I don't know if I will ever get through sanding. I think this is the last 2 pieces I have left to prep before painting. I can't wait.

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy

Thanks guys. Well deer season is here and I am trying to get all my painting done before it gets cold. I have been hunting in the morning and working in shop when I get in. All I like is the outside of the bed and the wheel tubs.

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy

Every time I think about how you finally stepped up and introduced yourself at Clems it makes me smile!! I had seen you floating all over the place not really getting engaged in the clusters of people and conversations, then you just stepped up and said, "Hi"

I think next time, I am coming down for a week.
A weekend just wasnt enough !!

It was great to meet you dude !

This past weekend was very cool, I too am glad and very thankful Clem and Kim are such gracious hosts...
I only wish I didn't have to bail soooooo early... I missed Donnie altogether as well as others who showed after I had to leave... Hey, McMurphy, next time a week sounds like a plan, maybe we can drag you down here to north central Arkansas and maybe the Oregonian as well..,

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy

Been working some late hours at work but finally got some shop time. Here is 1 bedside with some argent silver laid down smooooooooth. It turned out nice. One small run but other than that it is slick. I love it when a plan comes together.

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy

Thanks for the kind words guys!! Man after getting to meet all you cats at Clems and talk trucks I just can't get enough truck time. I am still pumped and hopefully will be able to shoot the other bedside next week and get it all put together.
