I ran across this several weeks ago and forgot to post it on here when you started to mock it up.

That looks great. How did you bend the radius on the straight piece? What gauge did you use?

Is that piece overlapped on the firewall? If so, will you just fill it?

I've seen that one also but after replacing the whole firewall once I didn't want to do it again. I also like the more rounded look.

I had the radius done at a steel supplier. The rest of the bends I did in the garage with a shrinker/stretcher.
I used 16 gauge.
The piece is cut to fit flush with no overlap.

Yep, looks real good.
All the fab work is sweet.
What flavor of headers are you gonna run?
Looks like you have enough clearance for some long tube headers.
Well it want be long and you will be ready to you fire that bad boy up!
Hey, Look into Joe Gibbs oil for GM LS engines.

Why spend so much when you can get the german Castro Synth 0-30 for half the price at AutoZone, lots of talk about that on the LSx boards. Make sure it's the bottle that says bottled or made in Germany.

Right now I'm looking at some Sanderson with 1-3/4 inch primaries.
I can get them in the $400 range.
Not sure if I want to pay the extra cost of the long tubes at this time.

I didn't now they had made specifically in Germany. I plan on running a syn oil so I'll have to check it out.

It's set back 3"s. It gives me about an inch of clearance behind the intake.

i've seen part of a wheel barrow tub welded in there too

A little up date.
I needed to make my trans hump so here's what I did.
I made a frame out of some round stock and then made some templates out of heavy card stock.

A little welding, bending and grinding and I have something that will be hidden by a center console and carpet.
I'm waiting on some headers to see if they're going to fit before I get the cab back off to finish up the firewall.
