Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
haha rest of the frame hasn't been done yet, waiting on some more money, gonna finish up the motor and trans first, then finish the frame. Then I'll start some work on the cab, looks like it's gonna take a while, Army just doesn't pay enough.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
well Jason hooked me up with a hell of a price, I got close to 500 off for everything powdercoated and shiped. the SD kit has less parts to weld also. I've always bought stuff from them, so I know how their workman ship is. Both are built the same. Im very happy with it, went in easy. all the parts fit correct. just a little trimming with the mounting holes on the crossmember. I've never Z'ed a truck but everyone that has and has a SD or PD crossmember would rather pay for it.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
The only thing that's not bolt in on both of them is the frame notch for the rack and pinion, other then that it's all bolt in, Jason welding 2 bolts on each side of the crossmember to seal up the whole thing. Nates I believe isn't welded on both sides. I just had to open the hole up a little for it to fit right. Either way they do the same thing, Jason's just uses less welded peices which is better in my opinion. I like Jasons motor mounts better as well, just gives it a cleaner look. With nates kit you can order everything from the rack to spindles, breaks. But you have to use what they use, Jasons you will have to order everything else yourself, but he lets you know what you need.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
yeah I forgot about the notches.....
you are saying you have to buy everything form Porter? I have heard other-wise. he will tell you what works with the DropMember and you can get it from whom-ever. Other than the rack and the adapter sleeves, it uses your stock suspension and brakes, with some modding of the lower arm... I'm not trying to argue, i'm just sayin' not to mention, Nate is the Originator

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
I have tried to upload pics of my truck but all my files are too big. I don't know how to shrink them into a size that this site will accept. Any suggestions??
