Re: Bowtie468's Extreme '68 BuildPage
Freaking amazing Chris!!!!
That thing is clearer than a mirror. BTW... I love the trailer. We have one close to it. Would you mind posting a picture of the toolbox area upfront? Did you add a winch?

Re: Bowtie468's Extreme '68 BuildPage
Outrageous I have said this a thousand times but I love this truck. I kick myself in the butt every day I sold my black 72. Paint was not as nice as this one but I love black. What is your completion date.

Re: Bowtie468's Extreme '68 BuildPage
Since I couldn't get much shop time today , I mainly concentrated on small items that could be completed in the limited amount of time I had . The first thing I attacked were the 2 support bars for the lower bedside in front of the tire . Since I raised the floor 3 inches , the factory bars would fall short . Before making a trip to pick up material for the job , I surveyed the material I had laying around in the shop . Came up with trying to use 3/8" stainless tubing with an .035 wall . It did the job and feels much stiffer than the factory bars .

Re: Bowtie468's Extreme '68 BuildPage
Killer work Chris!
Hate to steer away from the truck but I'm curious. On your trailer.. Is it tube frame? If so did you drill and tap the frame to mount the toolbox or use self tapping screws? Your trailer looks a lot like ours. Posted via Mobile Device
