Dude! You did a great job! I can try to help ya with the hood this weekend. The doors and fenders look straighter than mine, so why are you worried?!?!?

Silly guys! Invisible hood!
Everything else looks straight the hood shouldn't be too much trouble. Hopefully. Just be careful and don't ding anything up. You got someone to help sit it on there I hope.

Re: My 68 swb build.

I would make sure that the cab is square on the chassis first. Then I would make sure the core support is squared up to the frame. There is alot of adjustment in those alone. Did you use aftermarket fenders? I have had problems with those. Even the good restoration ones.

i think thats where the problem may be.....only thing aftermarket is the core support...fenders are 100% 1967 and so is the hood... stupid question...how do i check for the squareness of the cab to the frame>?

Re: My 68 swb build.

I find points that are identical on passenger side and drivers side such as mounting bolt holes for fender etc. I measure from driver side cab hole to passenger front frame horn. then i do passenger side cab hole to drivers side frame horn. Then I adjust til i am within an 1/8 inch. Then i do the same on the back of the cab side to side and diagonally until it sits square. Sounds like overkill but it has solved alignment issues before.

I will try that. What sucks is all I have is a motorcycle jack and a bent 1 ton delco floor jack. I'll see what I can do with what I have. Lol.

Re: My 68 swb build.

Check what he mentioned....thought the core support might be the issue and it looks more like it with those recent pictures...

also, on the hinges, how are you adjusting those. I have found I loosen all the bolts on the fenders and push as far up as I can...then have someone tighten the hinge to fender bolts while I hold it there....that helps some too....and make sure they are even on how far they are in relation to the distance from the back of the cab to the back of the hinge.

This is the reason you're supposed to 100% mock up everything before paint I had a body guy come over before we shot paint on my blazer. We got the front end almost perfect but just not 100% He ended up grabbing the hood and tweaking the hinges to get it perfect after looking at it for 10 seconds . He said they do that to new cars at his Chevy dealership before they hit the lot and all the time on insurance jobs on newer vehicles....

looking good though! Starting to resemble a truck...and a cool one at that!

I wish I could be of more help to you, but I couldn't begin to tell you where to start. I hate that you are having so much trouble with the alignment. Sometimes its best just to walk away and get a beer>
