Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
Nope and nope. I had a kinda bad night and I'm taking out my frustration on y'all. Just kidding . But really I did have a pretty crappy evening but this is cheering me up. And that's a big negative ghostrider on the coys... Maybe next time. I did get the front end of the crewcab off and ready to swap the airbox and the motor and trans and got the bed off so I can get the tanks mounted and the brakeline shortened

Kansas is a LONG way away and you don't have a dually to tow it back now lol

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
Getting it running is definitely in the plans. I'm off the whole week after july 4th so well see how much I can get done. Once I get the airbox swapped out for A/C airbox I'll be ready to drop the motor in. I also gotta get the TBI harness swapped out. Learned yesterday that the old tbi caught on fire in this truck so there's a couple connectors that were on the throttle body that got burned up. No worries though I have another harness

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
Cool man!
I guess you know the firewalls are different between A/C and non A/C cabs. I ran into the PO's hack job on this truck so I cut out the airbox area from my donor 'burb. Also the drivers side upper kick panel has a hole for the fresh air vent that you will need to cover....

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
Yeah thanks for the info. I have some of the stuff left over from my dads trick that I'm gonna use. I think I'm gonna just hack my firewall unless I can find a ac firewall section I can get quickly. Also I have the whole ac system inside and out for it. If for some reason I keep it I'll have to have ac in there for my wife to drive it. Period lol

So how is the dash coming along? I would imagine with the heat we've had lately it's literally been a sweat shop operation you have going on. |
