Re: Rods 57
Was at SEMA too. Probably walked past each other, got pics of the same trucks you took photos of. Your truck is coming out nice , love that red on white , it's gonna be killer.

Re: Rods 57
I was able to get some more paint on it today. I need to do some clean up and fix a few runs but its coming along. Finally got to see what the two colors look like together. Chevy victory red and cooper mini beige.

Kim Thanks guys. the biggest problem I have is the guy pulling the trigger... if I did a better job painting i'd have less correction work, but its all fun no matter what and I am glad the combo looks nice too. |

Re: Rods 57
You have toi be an automotive related business, or get invited by one. i think you might have to be a SEMA member? I have gotten to go three times but we do automotive stuff.

Re: Rods 57
have not been happy with the paint, a bit to much orange peel. so I sanded it all down with 400 and i'm re-painting it. Wife thinks I am crazy but it would have taken to much to polish it out, if i could have.

Re: Rods 57
Rod, looking good. No harm in fixing it now. If you don't it will forever bug you. I plan to use the same color beige for my interior. The beige is Mini ghost pepper?

Re: Rods 57
Just finished reading the whole thread and that is going to be one awesome looking truck when its done. I love the custom touches that you've done and i'm looking for old valve covers as we speak
This site is great for keeping me motivated. I see trucks progressing and see the end results and that helps keep me going when the end is nowhere to be seen

Ogre, thanks for the nudge. I'm still sanding. Getting it ready to try to paint again. Got the issue solved that caused the problem. Stuck gun and cold air.

Re: Rods 57
Heading out of town for a couple of weeks, no progress on the truck. I got selected to be part of the team to detail Air Force One this year...got coined last year for it and have been preparing for it. Really cool opportunity to help detail a cool piece of history.
