Re: Project truck dream 65"
My grill came back from the Victoria chrome plating this morning. Man these guys do top notch work !
Another original part salvaged from the old girl ,feels good ! I cant wait to start putting it back together with the tube insert and buckets.

Re: Project truck dream 65"
Well today was a good day to put my grill back together. I took my time and made sure I did not scratch anything.
I also decided to rebuild my original vent windows. I sold the chrome ones as I just didn't want to use the repop junk. I was able to save my vent rubber as I don't think the new ones fit properly. Hopefully I can get them back in without wrecking them,as anything I found just dosen't match up to the old ones. I spent a few hours cleaning the frames up before sending them off to the powder coater's.

Re: Project truck dream 65"
Thanks ! It did turn out pretty good considering it was one of the original beat up pieces on the truck.

Re: Project truck dream 65"
More plumbing today, have most of it done thanks to my bud. I'm pretty happy with the end result here, lines are consistent and uniform with the master and booster.
That took all day, but wow what a great finish !

Re: Project truck dream 65"
Brought my engine home today and planned on tucking it in a corner in the shop.So much for that idea.
Nice to have a bud over for an extra set of hands. Last time I installed one I used a tripod and did it myself.....,no fun. Anyway its in for a short time as the mounts will need to be modified, brake and fuel lines finished etc.
