That sure looks good, and I always like additions to the fleet, the ext cab looks promising.

Jmig, what 3rd brake light do you have on there? Looks flush or lo-pro. Great pics too.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
This is my daily driver. 92 k1500 210,000 miles, original paint, 30k mile crate 350 /rebuilt trans, cowl hood, small stereo
This pickup has been in my family for quite a few years as my fathers work pickup. In June of 2010, my father lost his battle with cancer and passed away. This was one pickup that he loved and you could tell that because it was his work pickup(he was a small town mechanic) and he would use it for service calls in the middle of fields, yet he kept it looking like new. He always had covers on the seats so they didn't get greasy, he just had a great respect for any vehicle and could fix just about anything. My step mom was going to trade this off on a brand new car and i could just not see it go to someone who wouldnt care about it and destroy it, so i purchased it from her. First picture is right after i got it, i didnt care for the toolboxs, but they were functional for him. Second picture is right after i removed the toolboxs. He was an avid believer in washing and waxing/poishing.. probably why the stock paint is in such nice shape. Its got rock chips, but other than that its great for 20 years old. And the last picture is when i color matched the grille. Only other thing i have done was add the updated mirrors to it.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Iv'e been on the board for a little while but just figured out how to post pics. AhHa!
So here's my truck. 1990 model with around 170,000 miles. Have had it for about 6 years and has been a pretty good vehicle for me. Probably the best ride iv'e had so far. Since I bought it iv'e done a good bit of stuff to it. Over the years it's got a new front end with all Moog Problem solver parts, new brakes front and back, rotors and drums, new bearings and seals up front. Just finished upper and lower a-arm bushings last week with Energy Suspension goods. Also cut half a coil while I was at it. Lowered the rear with shackles from Summit. Put it on the last hole when I cut front coil so i'm thinking it's about 3in' in the back and about 1 1/2 in the front from my measurements. A little rake but still looks good. As far as how it runs, great after help from this forum. Lots of great info to be had. Thanks to all that have replyed with my questions. Interior is a PO smoker so the headliner is shot. No cracks or fade on dash. Just a little a$$ wear on drivers seat and stains on carpet. That might get fixed later. Oh it's peanut butter brown (ugh). Wish it was grey. Has a few whiskey dents and needs paint but for now i'm going for the "modern patina" look. Think i'm pulling it off pretty good. A newer truck would be nice with 4 doors and new paint and big shiny wheels and all that junk, but I dont think I would like it as much. This body style is becoming a true classic and i think i should hold on to it for a while longer. Every time I see another front end coming down the road i'm checkin' it out to see if there is something done. So keep up the good work on your rig. Never know if someone is checkin' it out and getting ideas for there soon to be classic. |

And 1 of my old 95 ext cab. This was a beast with a supercharged 350. Traded it for a Bravada that I blew the motor in 5 days.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Here is my 97 GMC SierraGT,5.0 5spd. Just got it last week, future plans are fix door dings and re-spray in factory color, cowl hood, and atleast a 4/6 drop,no much just enough to give it a lil more attitude. And hopefully make it down to LMC this weekend and get a new front valance, only a 4 inch piece of stock one and half a fog light were left when I got it.
