My 62' with Daddy's lil Helper! 15x8 Rally, with Original Chevy Derby Caps.
Tires are 235/60R15 Front and 255/70R15 Rear. 2.5" drop spindles front, 3" drop springs rear with some adjustments done to the front torsion bars to balance it out.

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

Currently have 'tweaked' Old-school sizing w/OE style caps. I'd like to do more updated/current sizing & 'period-correct' looking aftermarket wheels. But, off the shelf BS options on affordable wheels aren't what I feel would work best & I don't want to spend =/>1K a wheel to achieve my desired look.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Thank you for posting this. I've been scouring this thread and this seems like the perfect combo for me.

These are mine. 17x8s all around 4.5 " backspace. G60s in back and 225x50s in front. Will settle down a bit when I add the wood bed and the hood.

You can actually buy metal plates to mount between the wheel and the drum/disc. They'll block brake dust too.

Backed into the driveway and just thought the down the side view would look good.

Nice perspective.

I also kinda like the taillights without the bezels.

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

I just went through every post in this thread. Some really nice looking trucks and wheel options are insane. Thought the thread could use a bump. Surely some new trucks or wheel changes have happened.

My brother and I decided the only wheels we remembered ever seeing on our dads truck growing up was these. So when we inherited it it was the obvious choice for us. The memories we have seeing them turning on the street were good ones knowing dad was home.

Currently its the US MAGS INDY 15x7 up front and 15x9s out back. I just ordered the 15x5s and have my eyes open for a reasonable set of 15x12s for the rear.

I have always liked those but they have such odd backspacing that I am worried they will not fit properly on my truck

This is one thing I am correcting on my rear. Im narrowing a 9” to go in mine so as soon as I get my rear wheels I can start calculating to get the correct placement. Im not a fan of how they set in on the rear currently.

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

18x7.5" Jeep Grand Cherokee steelies, something like 6" back spacing. No spacers.

NOTE: this is on 73-87 crossmember, modified a-arms, 88-98 spindles, and non-narrowed Ford 9" with 5x5 axles. With this setup, the actual "track width" is the same as what was factory.
