Re: Project '86

I haven't mounted the rack yet. I think you would have to notch the frame either way but I am not certain.

Re: Project '86

Small update today, did a little mud work on passenger door and cut down the frame on the wing window so that it would fit again.

Re: Project '86

Gave up on body work for now and went ahead and got my rack mounted. It's just temporarily mounted for now so that when I move it around I don't have to fight the wheels and can actually steer the thing. Hope to squeeze in enough time tomorrow to connect the steering shaft.

After a little bit of grinding it fits. It's close but it fits.

Re: Project '86

It looks really good. But are you sure it won't get in the way of the engine mount? Looks like it's going to be close. Your truck is coming along really nice.

Re: Project '86

I'm not sure at all. Once I get the motor in I will know for sure. But for now it will be a ton easier when I need to move it around.

No goal really. My first kid is due in about two weeks so right now I am going to get it in primer again and then it will be down for a while.

Re: Project '86

congrats on the baby. boy or girl? eather way don't you think its about time you start teaching the kid to work on trucks? my six yr old loves to just turn nuts and bolts and hand me wrenches. who cares if they are the wrong ones she is having fun.

really interested on how the R&P and the engine fit is going to work out.
