Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
It's the same in both pictures, I had completed the suspension, then disassembled and painted the truck this winter.

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
3" dropped bell tech spindles, 2" shorter spring in front. re-arched the leaf springs in the rear and built a shorter shackle to get 6" out of the back.
The old hot rodder in me could not resist the "big & littles" when it came to tires so the massive rear rubber on the 17" wheels picks the rear back up quite a bit. |

Ultra do you have stock or drop spindles, and did you cut or remove your bump stops? Also how is the ride and could you go lower? Truck looks sweet!!!!!!! And I agree, no paint!

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
Hey guys, I've got a quick question for everyone. If you have a 6" drop in the rear, do you have to the frame?

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
4" CPP springs out back and for the life of me I can't remember what I went with up front. Thinking 2" but not sure. I wish I knew so I could order lowered shocks. Anyone happen to know the stock height of the front end on a 66? |

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
It looks like you still have a good amount of tire gap between the front fender. I would say it's a 2" drop coil. With companies like CCP, they have a generic lowered shock for all their kits. A shock for a 2" drop coil and a 3" drop coil is going to be the same.

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
Hey thanks! No idea what the total is. It sits on trimmed drop springs up front and cut stockers with 2" blocks out back. Removed the bump stops and mounts both front and rear. Relocated the shocks up front. Pie cut the control arms. Mild C notch in the rear.
Its pretty much maxed out. I think I am going hunt for a set of Jeep springs for the rear. The rear is very "buck board-ish" right now. Front is good. |
