Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
Looks good. IMHO you'll need to be seeing 12.4-13.2 or so when your on it (depending on how hard). For idle go for best vaccum reading. For cruise you can go to 14.2-14.7:1's (even 15.0's is possible at light cruise) or there abouts.
Instead of 14.7:1..... I'm guessing you'll be at 13.0 or so most of the time. ![]()

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
Deff smell fuel. If i am cruzing and i let off then push everso lightly my af goes to 9.9-10.2 But if i push little harder it goes to normal or lean. Buy going down highway it i throttle in to it at all it pegs out at 18 then slowly goes to 15 or so.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
Well got sometime to play today. Installed my #33 fuel nozzle or accelerator pump and checked the float level and set idle mix to max vaccum. As it turns out my float level was perfict, my idle mix that i turned in a 8th turn the other day was perfict and i also put the med spring in my quick change vac secondary pod. Wow what a differance. Absolutly no hesitation at all any more. When i punch it while driving the wideband takes slight dip to rich not way over to the lean side any more. Even in overdrive it does not hesitate when i throttle in to it. It is amazing. VERY HAPPY with set up other then still a little lean on highway. Other then that it is GREAT

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
Seems to get the same milage as last motor. I filled up on tuesday and made sure to wright the milage down but somehow i messed the numbers up cause according to my numbers i have wrote down i still need to drive some. What i put down was 69497 and i have not even made it to 69490. Cant figure out what i did but i will fill it up sunday again to retest. Then in 2 weeks i will know.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
Well got to play more today. Changed my main jets to 69 from factory 65s. Made huge differance. O2 gauge stays above 16:1 even in overdrive. No more shaking when i throttle in to it. Will check plugs tomorrow. But seems to be right on.

You will create too much heat and start to damage your engine if you maintain 16 to 1 or higher on a sustained trip of more than a couple minutes constant cruise at that ratio. It won't take long at all to burn a hole in a piston or burn a valve running that lean with no transitions into richer mixtures to cool things off.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
Hold on fellas i am trying to fatten it up. With the 65 jets that came with it the O2 would take a nose dive to over 18:1. Now with the 69 jets it only hits 16:1. It is around 14.5 to 15 going down hiway. Gas milage has went to hell for some reason. Maybe i need to recheck my idle mixture. First few days of this tank went great then when it got to 3/4 tank thusrday it just plumited tell today. Drove like semi normal person except for a few moments when foot "sliped" and made pedle go smooth to floor.....Whoops. I am kind of on the edge about going to 70 or 71 jets. I want to receve some kind of mpgs but still not kill my motor. I checked my plugs today. Was going 2000 rpm in 4th with converter unlocked and help steady pace for a while and then shut truck off whale holding pedle at some position and coasted to a stop and pulled plug. This is the #1 plug the same one that few weeks ago was covered in burned oil. Still lean. But has massive gas smell at idle. Think i will recheak mix at lunch tuesday.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
It is a one legger right now. My friend had this eaton true trac sitting around and wanted to sell it. For only 300 i got brand new true trac and master install kit. Could not pass it up. I think mine i have in now may be going bad. If i stop then try to start out again something binds up then popps and then goes nicely. My dad had same problem and it was his diff. I redone the rear brakes and it did not change anything. It has done it for a while now. Even befor the new trans. So that leaves t case or diff.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4
I HATE TOYOTAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The wifes yota costs more then my dang burb to keep running. Her breaks were squeiking so i took the wheels off one buy one with gas lug wrench that came with the car. Needs rear pads and rotors, front pads rotors and both front axle shafts, driver side wheel bearing. Of course it has pressed on wheel bearings, and needs alignment when you do any of the major work so it is not worth doing your self due to how bad the alignment will be off for the drive to the shop. I am just going to buy her an old truck so i can do almost everything myself. Sorry just so pissed off at how work went today then find out car needs grand worth of work. Money that i was going to use to for the burb now has to go to gay yota that has massive jelousy problem!!!!!!!!!!!1
