1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

Most of that will pop right out. You can use a deflated football with the air nozzle installed to slide up into the space between the panels, then inflate it and it'll push right out. Just look at my Jimmy build thread from about last November/december to see. I've taken out waaaay worse than this. Might not even need hardly any filler if done right.

Yeah lastnight I immediately thought of your jimmy. That's going to be my plan. Hopefully I can make it look like nothin happened in time for the sonic car show this Friday.

Just about any dent can be pulled but the question isnt wether it can be pulled its wether the guy will take responsibility for the damage or not. Did you get his insurance information or did he con you and he just promised to fix it with no guarantee?
If he doesnt take responsibility then the universe has a way of ballancing itself out, dont worry about that.

Ouch that stinks Rick! The football is a good trick and also the good ol toilet plunger, Get the bedside soaking wet stick the plunger on it and pull. Disinfect when complete

You deflate the ball, place it where the dent is the deepest then you inflate it untill the dent comes out OVER size just a hair to stretch the metal back out (dont over do it) then deflate it.
Its tricky but if you take it slow and dont rush and use a true straight metal edge to check the surface you can get it really damn close.

Your supposed to inflate it over size? I didn't know that part.

hopefully... I wish I could find a complete new 67 shortbed fleetside bed for a reasonable price around here.

yeah I wouldn't bed as mad if it was my passenger bedside..... The drivers side is the best side of my truck.... Well now just from the cab forward.

Metal has a memory of sorts, when metal is shaped it gets stretched, so in order to put it back in its original position it will have to be pushed or pulled back the other direction and in most cases slightly over to get it to "rest" near its original shape.
When I say slightly I mean slightly if you push or pull too far it will rest further out than its original shape.
It is very difficult to get it back to its original shape and be "perfect" it will most likely have to be thermal flash shocked to shrink it back to its original shape.
Its hard to both explain and understand but thats how it works.
It will take someone with some experiance with this process to get it right.
Honestly I would recommend sectioning the bedside and replacing the damaged area entirely since the body panel is readily available.

yes, but since ive had my truck it has gotten 3 dents as of yesterday, and ALL 3 ARE FROM HIM HITTING THE 67.... hes dented the tailgate in 2 spots and now my bedside.... so how much more until he finally STOPS!! lol buthes a good buddy and i guess you must live and let live. so i did some bodywork and got it close to before.

i understand what you mean. it makes sense.

none the less i have pictures of todays progress. today at 8 this morning i went to the exhaust shop so he could finish the exhuast up a bit. and then i did somebody work to the bed. im pleased with the results... but i still wish it never happened... i probably need bondo now

All the implications that may lead to broken windshields, slashed tires, broken bones, and missing teeth... you wont even notice the 3 dents in your truck after cruising around with that logo for a while!

Personaly I think thats hilarious, however you are probably right and Rick isnt 6'5" 250lbs so yeah he might get jacked up for that one a couple times by jealous husbands and boyfriends.

Nice looking truck. I grew up in A****er and drove my truck to A****er high daily -except for after I got a speeding ticket going to the Merced County Fair and my dad took my license for a couple months. My truck sat at the Mini Storage at Winton Way and Santa Fe for 9 years, until I picked it up last week. It's now home in the foothills above Sac, and I'm getting it on the road again.

So, why doesn't this site let you spell A t w a t e r???
