Felt like I should post my 63'! She's still a work in progress. Have some front end collision damage to fix from the Previous Owner.

Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
Yeah thank god it's fun, it looks a little twisted I think because it is still mounted on the crooked grill support, I'm pretty sure it'll be straight if I took it off... Thanks, the P.O. Told me his buddy that worked for the AAA had looked up the VIN and it started its life as a police truck in San Diego and then worked as a Edsion Electric service truck in the 70's. The later owned by someone in Chino, CA. For 30 years, then to the P.O, to me. I've been wanting to further look up its history myself to really find out.

Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
From what I was told the black around the bezels is a factory accent. I had a reply to another post thanking me for remembering to paint them black.(although the PO did that touch)
Yes - I drive roughly 80 miles a day round trip. I bought it to do just that -be a daily driver. It just rolled 92,000 miles. I updated to pdb in the front, weber 2 bbl conversion and HEI on the 230/3 spd and I am averaging in the mid 18 mpg range. I would rather drive these old cars than a new one. I plan to keep it just like this until the six shooter gives out. Then I will probably go LS / auto. This replaced my 1994 Mustang GT that has 208k as my daily driver.

Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
Another member asked me what was up with the windshield (arc scratch)? The windshield is the Only Original part on the truck - which my wife has renamed to: The Wedding truck - Something Old (front glass), Something New (everything else), Something Barrowed (friends help), Something Blue (paint).....

Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
Last August I picked a 1962 Chevy Stepside 2wd. I was not really looking for a truck but I could not pass up a deal like this one. $800.00. Needs a lot of work but well worth the investment. I had to go borrow a trailer but again, worth it. Motor is not original but a 1972 Chevy 350 4 bolt main. I have purchased a few parts here and there just to get it running before the major rebuild will begin. Trying to find good 62' parts has been hit or miss but fun none the less. It is a 4 speed and I was wondering if anyone has put long tube headers in a 1962 C10? Well more pics to follow. The pic was the day I bought it and brought it home. I recently found year specific, vehicle specific but not quite the county I live in specific tags to register the truck with. Unused tags. The interior color is what the outside will go back too. Going to be a fun project. I Look forward to hanging out in the 60' to 66' forum.

I'm not sure if the Hedman 69260's will work on the '60-'62 frames or not.
