Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

That sounds awesome. post up some pics of it.

I contacted KevsClassics and he's going to redo my tilt column for me when I save enough money. He does a good job according to other members here so I'm stoked.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Thats what I've read. I don't think that my column is really that bad I just thought I should have it entirely gone through while I have it out. I have never done one myself and I would probably tear up more than I want to. I have been wanting to have a totally rebuilt column or a new one for this project.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

I am toying with the idea of painting the truck this color. My wife really likes it and so do I. This is a pic of Kevsclassics impala. I don't know what the color is called but we saw a chevy II that had the color today and she commented on it. I remember her liking the color when we went to a Super Chevy show a few years ago. Its metallic so its a little more than a solid base like the original color on my truck but I think it will be worth it. Chrome looks good next to this color.

That's on mine and the wife fave list also. The 2012 cobalt has a blue close to that.

I vote 1000% yes on that color. That's the color I'm going to paint mine whenver I get to that point. I love that color, it is very beautiful. I don't know the paint code yet, but I will use the one from Lexus, which is very similar. Here's the color........

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Got to test fit some stuff today. I got the am radio back in but the speaker didn't want to fit with the center a/c vent housing in there.
My truck didn't originally come with a/c but when I ordered my Vintage air kit I ordered the original style a/c controller from them.
With theirs you have to mount a bracket to the unit and then that bolts to the dash. In the instructions they say mount the bracket and show you a side view pic. But the bracket is backwards in the pic. I mounted it just like the pic shows the side view and went to put it on and the mounting holes were way below the dash. I flipped the bracket and it fit. It looks like they would check that kind of stuff. I also had to adjust the holes in the bracket as they didn't line up. It looks good though after all that.
