Very nice Nate are the valve covers suposed to be black or orange, Just curious because my project looks very similar. Please let me know. Thanks Eric

The valve covers came Orange from the factory, but we changed it up a bit by going Black. The oil pan amongst other small components are also black which you might not be able to tell from the pics.

Under the hood the only two colors you will see is Orange and Black, No polished shiny stuff!! Right Scott!!!!!

is the motor stock or did you have it built. how much hp and tq if you know. Thanks Eric Steinbrecher

Motor is the number matching original. We decided just to clean it up and put some lipstick on it. I'm sure its less than 300 hp. I figured if i wanted something fast it wouldn't be one of these so we went the low and slow route.

GVIZZLE...maybe me and you should race if i ever get mine done...LOL, i am hoping mine is at least 300hp, mine is a 350 bored over 30, with the throttle body injection setup from a 87 pickup, they were never really known for hp but they are very dependable !! it would be the slowest race ever !

Bumper brackets/radiator support brackets.... Just meant the front parts of the body drop kit. Well?

The bed is no where near done yet. But as you can see in this pic, the truck is set at ride height. You can also see there is good clearance with the wheel tire offset/tire width and the narrower 67 rear that there will be NO tire rub.

The plan as of now is a raised wood bed floor that will have some special tricks that will flow with the style of the rest of the truck, should turn out super nice. So stay tuned......

First off ,love the build..
but looking at the picture a few post up..
of the bed,frame and wheels..
can that back drop piece be made with the bag mounts on the inner frame, so you can run a shortend rearend and deep dished rear wheels,,
love the wheels, but I like the look of deepdished wheels,,
can't tell in that picute how much you could shorten the rearend with that set up and still clear the bags with the brakes..
think you said the wheels are 5.5" backspacing, so maybe with that set up you could run a 3" shorter (per side) rear end and still clear that set up..
and a 2.5" more dish??

I think Nate spoke about this in some other thread. I know most guys want to run a 14" wheel on these trucks but I don't understand why. In my opinion you either have a bagged lowrider or a 4 linked coil over Drag truck with monster meats for that +1200 hp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our goal with this truck was to have a fully functioning lowrider that the wheels/tires don't rub while rolling down the road at super low altitudes.

I would PM Nate, he has all the answers on his designs.

I attached a pic so you can get a better idea of the clearance. But keep in mind this pic was taken with the 1972 rear end which is .75" wider each side than the current 1967 rear end which is in it now.
