Good job on the paint.

Re: 56 shop truck build

Thanks guys, I'm really happy with the way the truck has turned out. I'm going to let the weather beat the truck up over the summer and then bring it back in during the winter and spray a couple coats of matte clear. Then do the door lettering and pin striping.

I got my rad back last night and the daughters grad parade doesn't start for 4 hours so I'm off to the shop to hook up my cooling system again.

Thanks guys, here are a couple more shots we've gotten back from the photo shoot. I hope she pursues this as a side line profession, she's only 17 so the sky is the limit right now

Re: 56 shop truck build

You got that right bud, happiness is one of the most important things in life. Life's to damn short

As far as the truck goes, I am wishing I would have went with my original plan of welding in a Camaro clip. The dropped axle route works great, it handles awesome and rides really nice, as long as you're on nice pavement. The unfortunate part is, we don't have a lot of nice pavement up here. You feel every single bump and crack in the road. So either a front end swap may be coming in the next 2 years or I'll sell this truck and use the funds to build the wifes 58 properly
