Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
Wiring up the e-level sensors and even doing some "home schooling" with my boy practicing soldering up some scrap wire! Dug out the last of the Accuair pieces and got all the relays and fuses mounted in the back.

Progress is looking good!
Do you have any concerns about using the Accuair products now that they are out of business? What can you do if you need product support and warranty claims?

Well it does suck that there out of business but I’m not to worried about it. If something doesn’t work or fails right away I will try and source a part if it’s still available somewhere? If something fails that can’t be repaired I will just swap out the control system since that’s really the only Accuair parts they made. There’s still good company’s making some nice stuff! Ridetech, Air lift etc... We shall see what happens?!? Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
Ok I got the Accuair system all up and working! Lines are run and Everything works as it should. I will adjust the height sensors once the truck is mostly complete. ( Not many pics of that ) I Also managed to get the interior finished up with carpet, Seat, Instrument cluster, column and steering wheel, door panels finished! I do plan on putting a radio in and finding a good spot for the air-ride controls.

Wow, very clean interior. The steering wheel looks great as well. Is that 503 green on the interior?

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
Where did you get your 503 green from? I need to get a quart of 503 green urethane to tint my raptor bedliner and have found a few places online, TCP Global being one of them. But if there are other options I might look there as well.

I will give that a shot as well, the local guys. It’s often cheaper to order online where I’m at but we shall see.

yes, yes. Back to the normal updates, airing out is for sure more cool than paint codes.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
I've been putting it off forever but i figured it was time to start on the box! I'm at the point where I need to work on it and figure out if I should go steel or wood floor? I have a decent steel floor but it's so heavy and I would need to cut into it to make the Center section lift up to get access to all the equipment under the bed. I also forgot i didn't post the paint work on the shortened box sides so I will get some of those pics up soon!
I started cutting into the box floor so heres a few pics of the last few days progress. |

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
So here are some updates on the box sides that were shortened. I noticed I never got a chance to post up the pics about finishing the bodywork and colour matching them. These pics are about a year old but shows a bit of the process and outcome! First up was grinding all the welds down and getting a coat of black epoxy down before bodywork. I did each box side different as the drivers side rear had damage and an old repair I wanted to cut right out.

Drivers side repair was a little more challenging.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
Since this repair was right in the middle of surface rust i had to blend in a few "rusty" colours. Then blend green top-coat.

Some of the final product after blocking out the green and blending in a matte clear over the panel.

Excellent job on the bedsides. That did look tedious for sure. All in the name of keeping the originality.
