Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Mine started then died the other moring, the carb was literally dumping gas into the intake. Anyone got a good used fuel pressure regulator they want to sell cheap??

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I've got an Edlebrock (I think 650) carb you can have. Choke's wired up for that no-choke effect. It's yours for the asking, S.
Not sure that would solve your too much fuel pressure issue, tho, Bro

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Great. It's yours. I have a drive today...To Moss Landing. Maybe we can meet half way some day this week...like Merced...
and I'll hand it over. If that doesen't work (your truck seems to be not running).....Let me know. I can send it, too. Let me know your schedule. We'll get it to you. Maybe someone's making a run from the Fresno area to the Stockton area?

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
i have this, found it right next to a big aeromotive canister type fuel filter that i forgot why i had. then i remembered it was to flipping shiny for my jeep.
this one say max inlet PSI 20 and adjustable from 5-12 PSI. the box is dirty as hell, but its new. i've no idea why i have this one. also, with a carb, you can run an inline filer from a 75ish jeep wagoneer. they are dirt cheap and just like any other inline fuel filter w/3/8' inlets, except on the outlet(i think) side there is a 1/4" fitting that is used as a return. it lets excess pressure bleed off when the float closes the needle so it wont over pressure. ive used them several times in place of regulators on engines that dont have super zesty pumps with mucho success Ryan Last edited by ryanroo; 12-08-2012 at 02:55 PM. Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Painted the stepside tail-light brackets. Taking small steps for now getting ready for Christmas and the colder weather. Also spending a lot of time trying to finish the sewing/craft room, figured it would be better to get it done during the colder weather so I can have more time during the nice weather to work on outside projects.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Finished installing a Detroit locker in my C20. I had to take it out in the muddy pasture to test it. I think I will be an HO52 fan for life now. It did better than my 05 F350's "limitless" slip rear. I also replaced the fuses for my amp meter. It works even with the voltage regulator eliminator used with the 10 SI alternator. Granted it isn't the most useful gauge, but I like the fact that it works. Both would have been much more difficult without this site!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Well today I polished all the head lamp bezels and the wiper arms. Both were very bad after 20 yrs of sitting and waiting for me.
I also took both the shifter boots and cleaned them up and sprayed them with black dye , they look like new. Put a bunch of nuts , bolts and misc stuff in the vibrator /polisher for rust removal and future plating or painting. |

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Nothing on the truck it's in paint jail for the winter but wired up a used emergency flasher switch and courtesy lights in my wife's 66 mustang. Got a sweet deal on them on ebay. $30 bucks shipped. Woo Hoo. Still does not compare to tinkering on the truck tho.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
have had a vibration in the gearbox for awhile that went away when driving or when foot on the clutch.one of those "i get around to having alook oneday as its not really a problem things".
yesterday was when i finally got around too it and bloody lucky i did!!! the 4 gearbox to bellhousing bolts were all loose with 2 only held in by 2 threads.that would have seriously ruined my day if the gearbox came off while driving!!! memo to self--"check all little problems sooner, rather then when they become big problems later"
