Honestly, 400's are more of a PITA then they are worth. If I was in your shoes, I would seriously look at swapping it out for a 350 which can be had much easier and cheaper.

When I bought my Panel, I was told it was a "400" but after running the numbers, it was a 305. I was much happier as though not a powerhouse, they have less issues than 400's.

Good luck with yours. I still haven't gotten mine on the road yet...

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Washed the truck for a car show this weekend, got to take a picture of a B17 flying by, the wide windshield trim was delivered today, and the full floor vinyl floor mat will be here next week! It was a good day!

Told my son to wash mine so he could take it to a local car show while I'm in Nashville at a BMX race with my daughter.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I welded up the new bottom piece for the core support.

It turned out great! Tomorrow I am grinding the welds smooth and painting it.

It will be good to FINALLY have at least one part done!

10-4. A bunch of us have been asking about this mat for a year or more, but apparently no one on the forum has installed the entire mat yet to provide photos. I'll get some good clear shots whether it fits great or turns out to be a disappointment.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Sorry, no explination. Bottom pic is pretty much how she looked when started. Top pic, I stripped out the interior and painted it. Previouse owner had a hole cut in dash so I cleaned it up and installed stereo. Grand Daughter cant wait to hear some tunes.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

on my daily driver i painted the valve cover hammered texture black but didnt like it so stripped it down and painted it a hammered texture charcoal grey to match my twin pipes. I also chopped and tacked my project 68 frame.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

On the '66 Burb:
Well, after alot of disCUSSion, found my mathmatical errors on my front crossmember. Luckily, the fix was simple and all is square again with the world!. Re-installed the upper and lower control arms, made new lower bag mounts and installed eng/trans. Hopefully will have the steering u-joints later this week and will have the column mounted, also.
Been away from this project for about a month while getting the shop truck to driver status. Will post pics later this week.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I ordered a new alt harness to replace the fire damaged one. I spent the day doing minor body work and got the cab interior primered.
