Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Contemplate on a ball joint fork, jacking her up and getting the springs cut , but, why not get coil-overs... That's means new upper and lower control arms right!!! What a dilemma.. So basically I just crawled under the truck and looked at it...TODAY...

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Upgraded the front end appearance with my freshly straightened and rechromed bumper. Had the old beat up bumper guards done also. They really came out nice. OOps, now the grill doesn't look so good! It never ends.
(Top pic old, bottom pic new)

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Thanks, Mark. The rear bumper is next. I found a pretty decent one in Idaho and had it chromed along with the front. Both came out real nice. I can't wait to get that ugly beast off the back of my truck!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Put the rear end in today, bolted the springs in and put the rear shocks in as well. I tried to install the front coils but with no weight it was a no go. I could chain the frame to the floor but will probably by a coil spring tool.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Spalted Tamarind (never heard of it so I had to look it up), The is a beautiful wood from Southeast Asia. Much of this wood comes from logs that were either found on the forest floor or were cut and then allowed to spalt in the very damp warm conditions of the jungle. The colors and various line patterns are tuly unique from one piece to another. The patterns are created as a result of insects, so expect insect holes in all spalted woods. Use a good dust mask with any type of spalted wood you work on it.
The photo they show are beautiful. I bet a coffe and end table made of that wood would be beautiful.
