They are easy to install. They come with a small hole saw bit to mount them.

Here are the ones I got.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Whew. I missed this last line & was worried that you might have used that flapper wheel or some other grinder to dig down to the layer of white. The thin white line looks good. You could go with a red line too.

I did some trimming on the front coils to get the rake I like so much.

I ziptied a USA-1 plate to the grille (not bolted on but in place) and painted the front bumper white to match the top and rear bumper.

I pulled a set of electric fans out of a 04 Monte Carlo and with some minor fab work and two temperature controls I got them in today. I set one fan to come on at 180 and the other at 200. I drove it around in traffic this afternoon when it was about 85 outside and the truck never broke 210 degrees.

If you seal up around the fans to the radiator it should help even more. Buy some black foam at Lowes are wherever you choose and place in between the radiator and the fans. Force the air through the radiator not around it.

Removed my alternator and took to our local Starter/Alternator rebuild shop. Its a 37amp and the owner tells me he can make it a 55 amp which will be good for my purposes. Another item off the checklist before I do the Power Tour in 2019..

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Not today, but the other day I replaced the "stock" carb mounting gasket on my 402 with a 1/4" thick insulator gasket, and now the fuel does not boil out of my Edelbrock carb after it sits for more than 10 minutes while hot. Hard to believe such a small thing could make such a huge difference. I am running the stock cast iron intake with a 1" aluminum spacer/adapter. If you have an Edelbrock carb and have this issue, get an insulator gasket and your problem will be solved. I used Fel-Pro p/n 1908.

The previous owner had the center link on backwards, and the tie rods had seen better days. So, got all the old stuff removed and got the center link off. Now to put it back together the right way with new parts tomorrow. Should handle a little better once done...

After searching Ebay, I found that dually caps had logos with a black background. I didn't like that as much as I liked the silver back of the caps I already had. So, I joined everyone else & got spacers.

Went to a Saturday get together at garage one pro shop in Tampa. Met a fellow 67-72chevytrucks.com guy in his awesome Blazer. On the way home passed this awesome back drop and had to take some photos.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

I bought a transfer case shift boot from Custom/10 last August, and finally got around to installing it today. I cleaned and painted both rings, and ran the screws under the wire wheel. For vintage hardware they cleaned up pretty good and have no rust on them. My F*rd had rusting hardware before it left the lot in 2008.

Also installed a new firewall wire gutter. I will start installing new front leaf springs next weekend.
