I was told they were 6" drops. My pal the P.O. bought them and he wondered later if he'd purchased 5" or 6"....I know that Early Classic is so cool they'd ALWAYS
switch springs around. But, because I'm almost down on the bump-stops, I think they are 6's. Also, I'm running their short shocks and shock relocate-kit along
with their big, fat anti-sway up front and their adj. pan-hard bar out back.

The 338's in the rear are 20 x 10 and the rubbers are 275/45. If you want to see a rear-shot of the tire-profile, I can find a picture. I think I'd like to go with some
more sidewall on the front AND back next tire change.
nice.......it does look like a 6" rear drop.........I am running a 5" spring and 2" blocks but those are getting shaved to 1"....4 1/2" up front and a just bought a Porter Built Panhard bar kit from the classifieds.....just wanna drive this thing already.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

notches and rear mocked up and torn back down. I'll have about a 7 5/8" rear drop
ps dimple...installedstill undecided if I even want ps yet but I figured I'd do the dimple while I can

been thinking about doing the caster mod. w.t.h all it involves is drilling a shallow hole right. I'll need to read up on it some more

hopefully we are off too the blasters this week

I think the magic is in the suspension work some people do ,not an engine combo, but comes down to what a person has done and familar to over the years.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

When I install my 6" springs I'll be at about a 7 7/8" drop out back. Just for fun I set it on the ground with no springs to simulate an aired out bagged rear end. I like it

Yes '74. He has had that car for about 18 years and has been aiming to restorod it but it has been one thing after another taking the cash away from that project. He thought that after the 2 girls got outta school and on thier own they would have a few dollars then his wife got down with a bad back. She went back to work then he wound up with lung cancer.Guess we'll see how this goes.

He has a 440 built with a 5 speed to go in it. Maybe we'll get to run it atleast once.I HOPE.

I'll keep up dates as I have them. She will be mean

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I don't know if I MUST post pics for this post....

What I did today is
1. Cleaned, painted, installed toolbox door hinges.
2. Installed bedside toolbox door.
3. Installed chrome on the toolbox door.
4. Installed a new headlight switch.
5. Tested and fixed headlights.
6. Added Frame to Engine ground straps.
7. New instrument panel bezel
8. Cleaned window regulator and door latch screws.
9. Installed Lower tailgate chrome.
10. Changed thermostat and housing gasket.

It was a good day.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I finally got mine out of the garage under it's own power. Even took it around the block a couple of times. Sure feels good it's been sitting for 2 1/2 years. I still got a long way to go but it feels soooooo good!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

The truck was running like complete crap and shutting off, somehow the distributor came loose and causing all my problems but fixed it on the side of the road. It's running like a top again and even came home and gave her a bath

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Found the leak I couldn't find, the otherday at the muffler shop, '67 c10 lwb ss, '65 230, daily driver. A crack in the block behind the exhaust manifold pipe. Recently reveled by engine cleaning (scrape w/ putty knife). Great truck, just needs everything. So I shut my eyes and dumped in a bottle of bars original recipe. Does anyone know an expert (better than me) engine builder in Northeast Georgia? I am looking for a custom built complete L6 that I can dropin and drive.

Palf70Step, thanks. They are American Racing AR898. I wanted something a little different and found these on Ebay.

Posted via Mobile Device. I used my plasma to cut out the center of my 68 air cleaner , then I used 2 hole saw's put together to cut the hole in the 2 barrel base. ( one hole saw as a guide and the other to cut the hole)
