Re: What did you do to your truck today?
continued the pre-assembly. We have done all the measurements, except for the distributor and oil-pickup tubes; we're procrastinating on those, but everything else is good to go.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I towed the truck home today. My Ranger sure is getting a workout, but then again more then half of the truck is missing. Now I can start putting it back together. Hopfully be driving it by the end of next month.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
After searching high and low, I finally found the rubber I want for my back end, 295/50R/15 BFG Radial T/A's, ordered them, between shipping from Georgia to Buffalo, then through my company's customs broker, should have them end of next week.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I needed a heater/defrost distributer and controls so I hit the Pull-A-Part Salvage lot this morning. They had one 65 on the lot.
Lucky for me they had all the parts I needed and a couple more. I scored the heater distributer, heater control dash unit, cables, and wiring harness. Also got the original mirror and horn/horn relay just for the hell of it. In total they charged me 8 bucks. In cleaning the distributer box I found a bunch of crap but found an old pencil in there that read, "Get Acquainted with a STANLEY HOSTESS PARTY". Back side said Syracuse, NY. I've got some cleaning/de-rusting/painting to do! |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Took the frame of my 65 SWB to powder coat after installing all the Porter Built crossmembers and c-notch kit. I hate rivets! Should have the frame back in a week!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
picked up the dual bowl MC for my conversion. Gonna wait until I pull the engine to get the lines and fittings, then, install them and remove the whole setup before pulling the cab.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Got the '70 Chevelle Rear Springs installed. In Lieu of a BFH I used a Friend's Snap-On 1/2" Electric Impact on the bottom bolts and a cheater pipe on the top bolts, prior to doing this job I sandblasted the exposed threads and soaked everything in penetrating oil. I also re-installed the axles and brake drums after getting them re-drilled for 5 Lugs.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Got the 87 front axle refurbished, all new disk brake componets, new bushings. Got it installed into my 63 4x4 Burb. Still need Warn hubs and bearings.
Got the seats out, the trash, a lot of trash, vacumed out. Pressure washed the interior and the exterior. Lots of pics here; http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...&ppuser=103447
