Re: What did you do to your truck today!

well today i just drove it around, and went to the coffee shop for a cup and meet with the other old farts around town, but for the last two days i cleaned up the exhaust manifold that i took off the lake pump 292 and took the intake and exhaust manifold off ole dollor and cleaned and scraped off a mess of old gasket and rust, my old manifold was worse that i thought. got her back together late last night and boy does it run and sound better, had to do some work on the new (used) exhaust manifold to make the heat riser work properly.
i even have some pic's of the process.the screws were used because i can't use a welder but i think it will work o k...

I might have a spare one on my old junk block at home, Nate. If it's there and in usable shape at all, you can have it. I'll check after work.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

nate i think you are talking about the choke pull off , its a temp control coil spring that pulls the choke open when it warms up. i had to use my old one, but if i had another one it would be yours....the lake pump 292 did not have one, when i got ole dollor mine was bad , so i ordered a new coil spring, and overhauled mine, i think the one i found was for a v-8...but i was able to make it work..not to sure where to find one unless a pick and pull has one...

Post Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Technically that's the choke pull on , the pull off is a vacuum break , I have that .

I hope CMH77 finds one as P-A-P hasn't for many years around here .

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Today and the last couple of days I have been disassembling all of the used a/c parts that I bought from teeitup. Pulled the heating and a/c coils , blew out all the dust and debris , cleaning up the ac/heater boxes and repainting them. Also polishing all the aluminum and copper parts. sand blasted all of the rusted parts for repaint.Have many pics but cameras in the garage will post sat .

First, my Happy New Year present to those that are into my kind of music:

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/vi...pelin-20121227

Today, it was a little ride down town, ordering an anti-snow item. And I think I've decided to move my 1" spacers to the front and pick up some 1.5 inchers
for the rear (only, mine will be five lug) with my Christmas E-Slay stocking stuffer gift cards!!!!

Haven't made up my mind yet.I want it but don't really have the money but who know's.For the money it's well worth it. The only place of rust is around the washers between the rubber bushings and the body.

I have a choice between the copos in my avatar and the full size truck covers. Yes the fuel pressure regulator combined with a new carb got me going again. Thank you
