Re: My suburban's Twisted Little Sister
Hi Sarah...
Thanks so much for updating us on Dale's condition. It sound like things are going pretty well, considering the extent of the injuries. All through the ordeal it appears Dale seems to have kept his priorities straight... parts... fix yellow truck... update forum. Dale, we look forward to hearing from you when you're able to get back here...Get well soon!

Re: My suburban's Twisted Little Sister
Thanks for the updates Sarah. I feel like everyone on there is kinda like family. Glad to here your doing good Dale. Your wife as a RN should really help with a good recovery. When you feel up to it I would like to come see you and your trucks, it would be a great first 2 hr highway drive for my GMC and see your sick burb.

Re: My suburban's Twisted Little Sister
Thanks for keeping all us truck guys in the know.
Im envious in a way, awhile back I broke my foot, had to stay home. I was able to read through dozens and dozens of builds. Always a silver lining in the clouds. |

Hi all!
Sarah here. Just thought you'd enjoy a pic of the balloons I got dad. He had a good giggle at those. Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers! Dad's doing well. Sitting up more and more every day. Sarah

Re: My suburban's Twisted Little Sister
Sarah
Boy oh boy things happen so fast and do so much damage. Glad to hear he is on the mend. My wife had a knee replacement and 5 weeks later fell and broke the hip above the new knee, and had to replace that hip. I say this only to tell Sarah to check your mother to make sure she is ok. Care takers some times tend to get run down and need relief. Get well soon. Keep on keepin on Nut Case

Re: My suburban's Twisted Little Sister
Hi guys. First a very big thank you to everyone that posted their well wishes over the last few weeks.
I'm finally up and getting around a bit but at a much slower pace. My recovery has been slowed somewhat because 32 years ago I broke my neck and have been in a wheelchair since. Adding two broken hips on top has caused some complications but I'm making forward progress so I will get back in shape soon. The yellow 67 pick up suffered a lot of bent sheetmetal but no structural damage. My buddy has already stripped the front clip and now we are waiting for parts to arrive. Once we get the parts the rebuild should go quickly. The motor transmission and rear end all filled up with water so we had to drain them all. We changed the oil in the motor 6 times to get all the water out. I'll get pictures of the truck next time I get a chance. That's all for now. I'll update again soon.

Re: My suburban's Twisted Little Sister
Good to hear from you again Dale. Glad to hear that you are making a good recovery. You'll have the 67 back up and running in no time with the skills that you have. Can't wait to see you progress on the twisted sister soon in the future. Hope you have a fast full recovery and can get back doing what you love in the shop soon
