Yeah, I just need to recharge my batteries from time to time, but most of all I enjoy my special time with my boys

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, no!This is more of a social drinking trip, with the fishing part as a side. The park ranger told us they stocked 4500 fish in the crick 2 weeks before, but I didn't see any

Re: PO has me PO'd
Here's yesterday's progress...Started off hanging kick panel, I like to fit it with the panel as close to the floorboard/cowl as possible, then clamp it and mark my holes for the two bolts and drill them out(acts like a clamp) while you get the rest of the panel screwed in place. Then I mark the top of the panel and cut to fit. The broad yellow mark needed some additional attention as it was 3/16" away from the floorboard.
You can see that the flange is short under the weatherstrip area (2nd pic) talked to Jon, he said he will have his company laser cut more matrl. in this area Started to hang lower A post, elavation is important, since there has to be room for the rocker panel to mount up(at least a 1/2")but measure your flange on the rocker tobe sure They don't give you much of a flange on the rear of the A post patch, so you have tobe precise. That's why I marked the center of the holes and a horizontal line as well After all the work is dun, nuts will be tacked on lower A post patch, inside rocker box Funny story: off topic Lady across the street just rang my doorbell, she has a big black snake in her basement. So, I get my thick gloves and broom and I'm off for the hunt. Turns out tobe a 7" garter snake(cute little thing), disposed of properly in my garden(until my wife comes across it) Saved the world from another threat

Re: PO has me PO'd
Here's yesterday's progress, finished up A post patch. I found out that if you locate the two mounting holes to the rear first, it will give you the correct orientation of the patch panel. If it is tilted to far forward it will make contact with the rocker. I slice the kick panel patch at the rear flange of the A post patch to have it sit flush against the inner rocker backing plate(pic.2)
BTW, order two, in case you FIU. You won't have to wait for the UPS man, and you can return it...Don't ask how I know! Finally got my March brackets for my electric waterpump

Very nice. It's going to be really compact. I like it.

Re: PO has me PO'd
They were repop from GMP about 10 years ago, they stopped making them again, found this set at a Chevy dealer in Texas
I think the 'GPW' project needs a set of March brackets

Re: PO has me PO'd
Here's some pics. of the PS side mounted up, after degreasing and paint stripping for a couple hours, no real issues to speak off, except the relocating bracket on the alternator. Seems like they counterbore the bracket, but want you not to use it, as the bracket has to be flipped over to get the correct orientation.Anyway, the plant manager is going to pull one off the production line in a couple weeks so I can counterbore it from the correct side, go figure...
Hey Red, you were rite, just ordered my rebuild kit for the saginaw pump(Advance Auto) Got to use my NOS PS cap/dipstick, thanks billsbowtie BTW, use anti-sieze(high nickel) whenever using steel fastners into alum., if it galls the threads you will never get it out!

Re: PO has me PO'd
Got some work dun on Jon's and my own. Got a sweet deal from Byrd on a polished alum. rad., and put a coat of paint on the PS pump. Looks like I will have to modify the brackets as the rad. is alittle wider than stock
Big J, got to breaking out the welder Got to hang lower B post so I could move on to fit up the cab corners, it looks a little rough, but that is just the beginning. The rocker covers all this area, so you won't see it. In a hurry and caused a run in the paint Sure is nice to work with shiny new metal, one spot of rust left and that is on the pass. lower B post I've been worried about the fit of the cab corners, since I have never dun them before, but I shouldn't have been. The contours fit perfect... Here's some pics

Looking good Jim...I like the engine.
The cab looks great too. As your agent, I'll let you know your cross country work schedule as soon as I get all the details ironed out.

Re: PO has me PO'd
Jon sells these really cool fleetside beds, I could turn it into a trailor and haul my arse around the country. I wonder if these trucks rust out much and would support me and my life style

The trailer thing sounds feasible, but I'm not so sure about supporting your wild and crazy lifestyle.
