Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
These showed up at a local show Saturday from Missouri. They are members here but I failed to get handles. I hope they don't mind the promotion. The Blazer has original paint and interior.

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
I laughed 'til I cried about this! My wife would never sweep through the garage and throw anything out, so I'd be safe. It's the other way around that causes the problem, though. She used to set stuff on the steps going into the garage if she wanted it gone, because she just can't seem to throw anything out. I was used to just throwing stuff out when I found it on those steps...until she put something there that she wanted to keep. :/ That cost us money to replace. :/ I was not pleased.

Years ago two trash bags showed up on the garage step. I assumed they were the normal routine to be thrown out. Nope, the season had changed and she put the winter clothes in those trash bags for storage in the garage. We got all new winter clothes that fall.

Another one like that. We went to the Sequoias for a camp-out in the '90s. We had a '56 Chevy wagon and a tiny convertible tent trailer- one of those where the canvas was held up by an aluminum structure made of tubing, and the canvas laid out on that structure like a top does on a convertible. We got there, only to realize that the one (FORGOTTEN) bag by the door that had everything that would keep us all warm was in it. We had to go to the "Company Store" and buy sweatshirts and other stuff to stay warm, and we didn't have enough money. We ended up putting on every item of clothing we had to keep warm. It made a lot of fun with the kids in diapers. To top it off, the B&M shifter I had in the car had the shift cable fail. I drove down to Fresno using a stick (no joke!) to move the shifter into gear and park. "Stick shift", for sure. I drove it up onto a stump in the campground and changed that cable out. I kid you not!

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
I'll admit it. I may have thrown out some of my own things over the years. There's no proof of it though..

I sold my blazer a couple months ago What was really cool, it went to a guy who was stoked to get it He flew in with his son, and road tripped it home 5 or 600 miles When I went through the file I found bunch of documents I didn’t realize I even had Back then, when I got the truck I didn’t even care ! Over the years, when I got serious about collecting Documentation like that really started mattering to me Needless to say, it was worth a bit more than its original sales price |

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
Since the thread nicely detoured to Royales and this exceptional one showed up I couldn't help myself. I've never been a fan of motor homes but this I could get into.
I hope no one minds. https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/r...718099539.html

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
I almost bought one of those many years ago.
For some reason I couldn’t do it I think they were just a little to futuristic and streamlined for me As a kid I just always remembered motor homes being more ‘comfy’ |

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
Those GMC's rode like a dream. Notice the Olds or Caddy steering wheel and tilt column and pedals. Straight from the cars.

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
Haha, we have fun and games This was an absolute last minute decision to finish/start a junkin adventure with my old man. Tought about taking the box truck for a minute, nah get your priorities straight... a trailer will do. Had to stop and take a pic at a roadside cafe Hmmm, the trailer is still empty. More pics to come

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
Ok, the eagle has landed. Had a blast road tripping with the old man. Weather was not on our side. Let's say rain, trailers and back country dirt roads don't mix. We tried to go junkin, boy did we try but after 50ft into the mud we knew it was out Really wanted to get a picute of us stuck in the mud with the trailer but at the time it was do or die. My dad wanted to get out and push but I said something along the lines of "hold my beer" and goosed it in reverse to dry pavement. Got the truck my dad bought a few weeks back and made the haul back to Denver. Bonus on the deal was the doors in the bed All this was inspired by Chevylands Adventures. Thanks man, you really lit the spark on these roadtrip adventures:metal
