Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

I just wished the handheld controller was UV and water proof.
I already asked FiTech about that and they said the unit wasn't waterproof and they didn't know about the UV aspect of it.
I only asked because most of the spring/summer/fall I drive my Jeep with no top and I don't care if it's raining since I weatherproof the rest of my interior.

Put that ***** in a ziplock bag. Or get on Amazon and find on of those clear bags people use when they go to the beach. And you are asking a lot lmao. Non of the EFI kits handhelds that I now of are water proof. But that would be a added feature for the off roader.

Don't know how I missed this post but glad I double checked the thread.
That is awesome idea. Never even seen this type of thing before but it makes so much sense for the bike owners.
Now I gotta get one to fit my phone and the FiTech handheld.
And I do plan on getting a FiTech, I only heard one somewhat negative post and it wasn't even that negative since the poster still liked the unit just didn't care for the loose wires on the handheld, the mount came loose and fell and he got the wrong throttle body. He ordered one with the adder but was sent one that didn't have the adder option.
Now he did mention that Fitech was sending him a new handheld, new mount for no charge and they were sending out the correct throttle body.
Wish I can remember where I seen this post. If I find it I'll post a link

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

Well I think I have decided on my new tranny 4l60E. So I sent over a email to the guys at FiTech asking about the TPS. And the comparability of the FiTech with the 4l60E. I can buy the controller for programming the tranny from a bunch of other companies that is no issue. But would be nice if I could use the TPS on the FiTech. Or if FiTech would make a tranny controller that would piggy back off of the FiTech. And give me options in the handheld for the tranny. I push comes to shove I will buy the cable driven TPS that should mount on the throttle linkage of the FiTech but it is not that eye appealing.

I too would like to know what it would take to run a 4L60E. I got mine up and running and all I can say is WOW. My truck feel like it went on a diet and lost 1000lbs. Throttle response is amazing and the truck is running much cleaner. I love it.

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

In the link below I am needing the rubber piece that goes on the bottom of the electric pump. I though I had another one. Anyone k ow what it is called exactly? Can I get it at the parts store. Or am I going to have to buy the entire pump and kit just to get that rubber tear drop shape that goes on bottom of pump?

So verdict on the kit? I'm about to order it with the FCC. Don't want to mess around with getting a different tank, etc.

If I already have everything hooked up to a carb for my 4l80e, will it all swap over?

Yes it should. My Lokar brackets cables everything was interchangeable with the FiTech.

Glad a new product is coming on the market, at a reasonable price, that works so well. Really appreciate your experiences.

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

What was the reasoning for going with the bigger one? I have a 489 that might be close to 550ish hp and they said it would be fine to go with the 600 one.

Future go fast parts or power adders. Nitrous Turbo Supercharger one of those is my future plans.

I am using the FiTech 40005 inline kit. I didn't want their Command Center under my hood and I didn't want to install a new tank under the bed so I added a 1/2 pickup to the factory sender and mounted the pump to the frame rail. I'm pretty sure the inline pump is just a rebranded Walbro. I shopped around and could not beat the price of the FiTech kit.

Question for you, are you using the vacuum advance on your HEI?

Nice. It had to beat FiTechs hookup prices. That helps us all out for sure.

NO I do not run vacuum advance on HEI.
