ahhhh, the money thing again...lol
i've managed (with wifey's help) to put almost 3 g's away for the crew this winter, but might have to dip into it. fired up the stepper this morning- rad has a leak  just going to get a new one, old rad is 26 yrs old (1990 k1500) |

that's for sure, wish there was 28 hrs in a day...lol
while waiting for my swampers to show up, put about 40 "bolts" in the bed rails- frikkin' tediously boring... thinking my caster may have been indulging in what you brew Dale! out of the 9 swamps i ordered, 7 look like this on the back- more work...and i got to sleeve the rims & backing plates so they dont fall threw the tires, but i got some basic axles happening & can start the susp now. also made a bulkhead for the front of the box |

i picked up a can of Bright Calypso paint, looks like a light mint greenish-blue, and have a white top
but thats later, payday today, another 109 hr check- taking the dawg & the quad & hittin' the mountains today...

thanks Dale! had a pretty good time, had planned on taking the quad, but a ****** mouse ate my battery cables, so me & dawg went hiking instead...
got a little more on the '66, motor is just about done, got to re-do the throttle return spring, my ham fisted digits gripped my tweezers a little too hard and kinked it in half.... |

yeah Dale, even a day in the bush with yer mutt & no quad is still better than a day at work......or with your family....
 got some paint slung on the chassis, still gots to do d-shafts, exhaust, crossmember for the steady bearing (2 piece rr shaft) & all that stuff. found a sheet of bilstein decals in the parts box for the shocks here's that "bright calypso" paint (another hard to photo color...) |

tell ya, this color is impossible to try photo....comes out faded or silver-ish different angles, trying to get the green in it to show... everything is just temp, still have to clear the body. just seein' if everything fits......still...usually build them like the factory, chassis & motor together, then the body drop....well the 427 is wider than the 283 & would not fit in there (don't know how i missed that one..... )pulled the inners out a couple mil's, still not nearly enough, so now it's like how we usually do it after the factory, drop in afterwards...little more work but plus side the engine bay is filled up nicely now. |

also bought this for $9.99 at the local "trash from china" store..
snap-tite, no motor, but whatever- just ordered some 40" swamps for it also grabbed some swamps for the '50 chevy too, what the hey, save on shipping....lest thats what i told wifey... but the blaze is next... |

yeah, lookin' forward to doing the blaze Dale, if flipping exchange & shipping were'nt so expensive right now, i'd order the '69 grille for it, hard to justify $35.20, more than i paid for the kit....

thanks j.kirn, that '62 your doing, would that happen to be the old AMT/MPC kit? got these rims for the blazer. still not sure, think i'll go dig threw the parts box some more... butt-loads of flash all over this thing, & the bedsides are not very strait or level, check out the topper fitment stockers from the kit the stockers are a little small. this is how they stayed put for the picture.... maybe leave the roof off, one thing that always bugged me, why could'nt chevy make the door line up with the bedside..... .....or the bedside line up with the door (yeah, purists are cringing.... ) |

be cool Dale if i could just figure out what i'll do with it...
still trying to decide on rims... if ya look closely at the front rim, i drilled out all the "holes" in the rim these are the only other 6 bolts i got right now i was thinking this is neat, seperate axles & springs....figured i would just make some lift springs, untill this.... waaaay too short! guess i'm building axles... |
