Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

My 63 gauge runs about that same degree on the sweep with my 180 thermostat and letric limited sender unless I'm running in 95+ weather when I've been going for a few hour At that point it will sit about in the middle. When I had a 195 thermostat in it, the gauge was almost pegged constantly

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

Nope, not an amp gauge, changed it to a voltage gauge, changed the oil gauge as well. Well the weather people say it hit 98 yesterday but who counting?
Ya it's 100amp alright, 3 wire (actually 4 with the ground). And the only reason I got that was because it was a regulated 3 wire. I'm going to get a clamp on DC meter and see what it's actually doing in a couple places.

Good to hear, to nice of a build to go up in flames over a factory gauge…

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

So I went to a car show yesterday that turned out to be bigger than I have seen in the past, people must want out lately.
Anyway I came home with two awards (felt kind of guilty).

Re: New 64 Stepper Project

Thanks my friend.
I've been sick, caughing and tired etc. Found i had pneumonia in one lung. I'm on meds and getting better but it's slow and miserable.
I want to go to a show this weekend so we'll see how it goes.
