I need to lose that gap in the front. Will 3" springs do that? Thanx!

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

This is my '65.

4" LMC coils and lowering shocks on the rear.
2" drop spindles and lowering shocks on the front with cut coils.

I would like to get a bit of a reversed steel rim going for the rear wheels.
Any suggestion where to go to get the widest, deepest that will fit with a set up like this?

Any help would be appreciated

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

I've already put my 65 on this page but I just put first gen Monte Carlo springs
in the rear because I cut the stock ones way too much and couldn't bolt them
to the trailing arms giving a harsh ride...great ride now!!! I am going to install 3 inch blocks tomorrow because it kicked my rear end up a bit. Gotta get lower!!!

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

just finished adding 2 1/2" spindles and 1" spring. I guess my originals were a bit worn because I only dropped 2 1/2" total. I like the rake to I am not dropping the rear

Thanks! They are a ton of work to make fit but worth it in the end. Cheap mods are always the best!

I dig those early Caddy caps too -

I have a set of early buick caps with bullets in the centers - Too deep a dish for the offset on my original wheels (which won't clear my disks without spacers anyway) and CAN'T make them work on the later rims I have on now!

Wall art for now.

Truck looks good!

Yeah, I bet! Those things are so damn deep, I was under the impression they wouldn't work on anything but a stock Cad wheel or something with a deep offset. I'd love to see how you made em work if you don't mind sharing

I love cheap mods too. I always try to do what I can with what I have. Which is why I ran '55 Buick wheel covers on my '75 GMC as long as I did!

64, Big Block, don't remember all the specifics, as it was done years ago. I know it has blocks and shorter springs in the rear, no c-notch (yet). Front is shorter springs and DJM lower control arms. Wheels are Front 17x8 245/50/17, Rear 17x9.5 275/50/17. Truck has had a 5 lug, front disc conversion using parts from a mid 70's truck
