Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"
Thought i would update this thread a little.
I have put just over 10,000 miles on the truck since i finished it......well almost finished it. lol I just had the first problem with the engine, the waterpump that was on the engine when i got it took a dump this week. Other than that it has been flawless. I also just bought a 01 crew cab dually with a duramax, i need to put injectors in it then it will be my daily driver. So i may finally get to do bags and possibly a 4link rear setup.

That is a pretty sweet build. You did a mighty fine job on the paint.

Yes the tank was good, the only problem i had was the sending unit arm hung on the baffle inside so it would only read a 1/4 tank. I just bent the arm to clear. If i had it to do over i would get the 28 gallon tank. Its very tight with the 31.

Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"
I tuned in to this thread in the beginning and thought "great! another SBCC build". Not that there is anything wrong with SBCC, its just that lately you can't swing a dead cat with out hitting a SBCC build.
Because of that, I dropped out and failed to follow along. Boy did I sell myself short on with that biased thinking. You have transformed your truck in to an amazing looking CC that I would love to own. The color combo is killer, and the round eye front end along with the rounded line trim sets this build apart. Thanks for sharing your build and thinking "outside" the box. (bad pun intended)

Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"
Its my pleasure to pass along compliments where they are truly deserved. I really thought you had me hooked with the light color interior swap. The change to black popped my lust bubble, but it still looks great.
Please post more pics for us to enjoy...

Re: crew cab short bed build " clifford"
I was cruising through the swap meet at Good Guys at Fort Worth a couple of weekends ago and found a really nice grille for a 73.....cheap.
That will be my next project after i find a hood latch support to go with it. I really love that style grille.

I have just started driving it as my daily again. I finally got around to installing my electric cooling fan setup and wired through the ecm. What a difference that made. I hooked one side of the fans up to the a/c, so it runs when the compressor is on. It really helps the a/c get cold at lower speeds. I am searching for some different seats right now to, I'm not happy with whats in it or the way they look.

Do you currently have the F150 seats in it? I still love the color of your truck!
