Re: 49 ls1
Thanks guys. Bed wood is next, then carpet and headliner. Trying to get it buttoned up for Midwest All Truck Nats. Then in October she'll go up for sale. Making room for the next shop project truck!

Re: 49 ls1
Most of you know that Chris was injured very badly in a shop fire a couple weeks ago. I have set up a GoFundMe campaign to help Chris (AKA SKYMANGS, Ole Sarge) and his family with medical expenses. Please share this with as many people as possible. Chris was the first to help with any questions, lets see if we can help him out here: Chris Klapp, AKA: SKYMANGS, Ole Sarge

Re: 49 ls1
dang, he is very lucky. I'll be the first to say I can relate heavily to his situation. I'v been through two home fires, a work fire, 2 relatives fires and last year a good friend got heavily burnt and is still recovering. Its a shame and something a lot of us think will never happen. I really hope he has shop insurance. a lot of guys doing business's out of there homes, don't realize home owners don't cover a lot of things. Also doing any work on someone's vehicles, I'd tell them A. they aren't insured through me or B. get builders insurance so its covered. I hope this is the case for chris, its just bad enough he has to worry about recovering, property damage is last concern but it will be faced. Its something a lot of guys might not know. So just putting it out there, if your helping out a buddy or doing side work etc, just be cautious cause a few hundred dollar repair could cost you thousands in the long run. I'll def be donating and will spread the word.

Re: 49 ls1
Here is an update on Chris from his wife:
By Jennifer Klapp — Aug 15, 2015 9:10pm Chris is doing well this week. His dialysis catheter was removed on Wednesday. He has still had a slight fever, but keeping down the upper 90's to 101. He tracks you with his eyes and tries to talk to you, but gets very frustrated when you can't figure out what he is trying to tell you. But the doctors are happy with his progress. The burns are healing well and the two places that they will have to do some reconstruction on they have vacuum packed right now. This procedure will cause the body to send extra blood to those areas to help stimulate growth on it is own. Next week he should be getting a feeding tube placed in the gut and removed from his nose.

Re: 49 ls1
Let's see if we can get this ball rolling again. We need about $1900 to get the $5000 goal. Please share this and lets help out Chris. He is making some progress but is still facing a long recovery battle. Please donate here: http://gofundme.com/c49h5mjx8
