Re: my 65 fleetside build
Wow !!
That bad boy is really coming together... looks awesome! Your front and back window chrome really pops too, it really catches the eye and trims out the cab very nicely! You could be rolling down the road in it very soon eh?

Re: my 65 fleetside build
i cant wait for those videos, you could always have your kid ride with you and video it and then have them stand on the side of the road as you do the burnout video!!

Re: my 65 fleetside build
Wow! spent the last couple of days going thru your build, and I, like the rest, thought the original truck looked great.....but now its beyond beautiful!
Love the color choice, the American Racing wheels are my all time favorite, and the thread here. I appreciate your effort. But what I really want to say is.....when you pull out of the driveway, and hit it just a little, don't you feel 20 years younger! Thanks for sharing Flip. |

Re: my 65 fleetside build
There sure aint nothin hillbilly 'bout that truck, or the person that orchestrated the fine job of rebuilding it!
What a sweet ride!

all this Hillbilly talk got me to thinking about these songs: as for Flips, I gotta admit from listening to that video, I think he's got a Hillbilly bone and I think many of us good ole Southern boys' 60-66 trucks could relate to this:

Re: my 65 fleetside build
Betty is resting comfortably in my dad's shop...unfortunately, she's probably been depressed for a long time...this November will be 2 years since she was last on the road...hopefully she'll perk up & not let me down once she's roadworthy again...my dad is slowly making progress on her...hopefully things will speed up this fall/winter when he's not so preoccupied with other stuff
