At least you sport a good lookin' ride there.

I'll bet that thing is a pain to wash. We have somebody come in on weekends and wash trucks and equipment, so it's on my mind.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful

I drove almost exclusively t 600s at truck driving school. I could run circles around the newer freight-shakers. One I drove had a super 10 and a Detroit the other had a 13 and a n14 cummins man I loved that cummins. I liked that 13 speed a lot better than than sloppy old super 10

1940 White heavy duty truck converted into a pickup. This thing is pretty sweet. The entire bed and rear fenders were fabricated.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful

I love that thing! I ran a cross it and saved a picture 10 years ago when I first started checking out the internet. I wonder what's up with it today. Do you know how old that picture is? I guess this is more of a heavy hauler downsized to a 4-wheeler...in more ways than one! I see lots of fabricated pickup boxes on the single rears at the old truck shows. I sold a pair of LWB Stepside bedsides to a guy with a Mack B who had a pickup job in mind

I don't know what its story is today or how old that picture is. Here is a link from 2000 with some information on it though: http://www.fourwheeler.com/project-v...0-white-truck/

I got my picture later than 2000. I see it has more mirrors added since the article.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful

My 9' stepside box sides are fabricated from 12 guage sheet plus 2x4" box tubing for the top rail . For the floor, I have a 108" trailer door blank, etched stainles clad. In the past, I always kept the bed covered with mud flaps, as no tellin' what I'd haul. With the stainless, I'll have to show it off !

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful

Can't remember if I posted this here or not. I didn't want to go back through 500+ posts.
This was a towing company I worked for back in the early 80's. We called this truck the Centipede.
In it's day it was the 3rd largest towing company in the US.

The long-nose Peterbilt on the left here was my assigned truck....

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful

I dug these pictures up from way back in my Photobucket. This truck was parked, unattended, just off I-70. Never thought about it till now, but this is the exit just beyond the weigh station. I wonder if they pulled him and escorted him there because it wouldn't make the turn back to the lot. Anyway, here are some pictures:

I'll bet your correct, Tim. I've never pulled and RGN with anywhere near that many axles, but, you don't just go anywhere with one.
