Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
Well... I do have an in-tank fuel pump so I was able to buy the cheaper one. If you dont have a fuel pump you will need to go with the other system. Its a bit more expensive but summit will still price match with free shipping.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
do you know the brand & part number on the pump you are using? i personally would rather use an in-tank pump.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
Just to let you guys know...... The wife and I are having a hard time right now and the restaurant is putting us more and more in debt so I will be putting my truck up for sale here in the next couple of weeks. I have a few small things I have to fix before I put her up for sale like power steering leak, rear left bag leak, changing out the fuel filter since mine decided to start leaking, clean her up really good and repainting parts of the frame. Other than that she is now running perfect and has been a great daily driver for me for the past month or so. After I get her cleaned up really good I will have my photographer buddy take some pro pics and I will post them up.
Sad moment for me to put her up for sale but its something I really have to do for me, the wife and the 14 month old. BTW.... here is a pic of our last show/meet

Hate to hear that you need to sell it after all you've put into it. Good luck with everything and hopefully something changes so you can keep the truck.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
At the end of the day our trucks are toys. Family always comes first. My dad has been in the restaurant business for 25 years. Not easy to do. God bless you guys and do your thing man.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
thank you very much guys... I really appreciate that. Its really a blow to me that I have to sell it. But it is the best thing for us. I want to give all of you guys on the forum the first chance to buy it. I cant let it go to someone that I dont trust. This truck has been a big part of my life and a huge learning curve. I have so much money and time sunk into this thing and I know I will not get near what I want for it. I really dont even know what to ask for it. I am going to update my excel spreadsheet with all of my purchases.... luckly I have kept every single receipt for everything I have purchased on it.
I am pretty sure I will cry the day she leaves my garage.

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
Always sad to hear when situations demand decisions like this, but new projects can always be started when things get better. Sadly, getting anywhere near what we've put into a project almost never happens, but hopefully the planets will align and make it possible for you to find a buyer that realizes what he will be getting and have the funds to make it happen!
I'm praying that success and abundance will befall you in a great way! |

Re: Project "Funky Monkey"
Well.... she is up for sale. Truly a sad day and right when I get her running PERFECT!!! That EZ-Efi is so awesome, really glad I went that route. This would be a GREAT buy is someone is looking for a show truck. A little body work and you have a complete show quality truck.

Well Brian, I wish I had the bucks to buy it from you just to hold until things picked up for you. I do hope and pray that your situation improves with a better economy and that you'll be able to start another one with the experience you've gained on this one! All the best!
