Thanks, I really think I'm going to enjoy the truck. Ive wanted one for about 8 years now and I finally just did it. I'm replacing my 07 Dodge with it.

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
Yea, the dodge has 12" of suspension travel and really soft national springs in the rear. Its a diesel so it can pull, but the suspension hates towing. Without a trailer it sits level with the front.

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
you might be able to put helperbags on top of the rearleafsprings , that way you can pull when needed and still ride in comfort when youre unloaded

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
he can put peterbuilt bags they would work great but he would need to put a place for the bags to mount on the top and bottom and nice humvee tires.

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
Here's just a couple pics of my 72 one the night i brought it in the garage and then I just got done a week ago sanding it down and fixing some rot and for now just spray painted it O.D. green. 33's and 6inch lift are on it now but a little more lift and 39.5 super swampers are in the works. It has a fresh 350 and 4speed.

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
Sold the Dodge to get out of debt and bought a 00 suburban so I can put more into the 71. Hah, open headers at midnight. I called my neighbor out the other day when my other neigbor said he loved it. The neighbor that hates the truck was back pedaling.
As for the Chevy... 383 stroker, 700r4, Powdercoat/Rebuild dana 44/60, New steering joints, ujoints, axles, etc. Skyjacker suspension, bilstein shocks, powdercoat frame, body work, new interior, etc. Stockpiling parts now. If anyone has some ideas for suspension or brakes, I'm looking at blackbird's custom trucks for the brakes, anyone have them? |
