Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
This is turning out to be a Killer truck! (Question) What do you think about a rag top on that?

That's an interesting first post. Anyway the truck is looking awesome. I'd love to do one someday myself.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
I managed to squeeze a few minutes in on the truck over the holiday. I got the door lock working great and marked the door for the last piece that needs to be grafted in. I should be able to finish it up this weekend.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
Hadn't looked for an update in a month or so and was stoked to see some more progress. This build has me by the short hairs.
Excellent stuff! |

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
finished up door handle section I test fit everthing before I welded it up.
I got lucky and did not have to modify the rod from the third door just flipped it and it fit great.

You should change your name from "oilyrag80" to "metalmaster". Looking really good.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
Well I was not happy with my door gap between the doors so I fixed it.
First the rear edge of the front door was not perfectly straight it had dips in it so I fixed that first. Then the gap was a little big I set it a 1/4 but it was to much so I welded all the way down the front edge of the rear door. Then I ground it down and used a file to finish it. The gap is 3/16 now and after primer and paint it should be perfect.

Very nice work on the gaps. I know how time consuming that can be, but worth it.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
I built a panel to hold one of my speakers needed to get this done before I started body work. Its just 16ga sheet cut to fit then tacked in, I'll hit it with some seam sealer and it will be painted with the rest of the cab.
