Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10

Nice job, the truck definitely looks good. The roof replacement definitely would have had me looking for another cab...lol.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

No acid on this one. I'll do a write up on it soon but basically its paint with iron in it and I sprayed it on and then I sprayed a patina over it. It takes a few days to work but the patina turns the iron paint to rust! Its looks awesome!

Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10

Well I've spent the last few nights working on my exhaust. I have installed ramhorn manifolds and I am currently about finished mocking up a y pipe and I still need to cut a hole in the trailing arm crossmember for the exhaust to go through. I'll post some pictures soon.

Finished my exhaust today! So much better, I don't drag on everything and its a lot quieter! I am very happy with how it turned out.

It worked great! I made a little jig to use as a guide. I saved it and I will give it to you for when you do yours.

Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10

Well big thanks to Chuck (thelonerife) for helping me tackle a few things on the truck today. We installed the c-notches in the back and the rear bumper, all new side markers, a new fuel gauge and a new speedo cable (speedo still doesn't work though):wash:. anyways it was fun and we got a lot done! Thanks again Chuck!
