Re: SPID Picture thread?

Here's the SPID on my base model 69 K-20.
I just added the white wheels and taller tires. Next will be a white front bumper, and painting the mirrors white.
It has 36K original miles. It was owned by a local municipality and was a fire truck and maintenance truck at a couple local small airports.
I've learned from reading through the forum that the spiral shocks are the originals, and the side marker lights are not burned out, they are reflectors!

During my growing up years the Fire Chief lived down the street from us (one of the advantages is that our street always got plowed first after a big snowstorm!).

He liked our orange '69 GMC stepside pickup so well that he ordered a 3/4 ton 4wd LWB stepper to be the brush fire truck for our town.

Re: SPID Picture thread?

There must be a lot of cut down long bed trucks out there, because most all of the SPIDS are 127" in lengths. Either the short bed people do not want to share with the others. Just my opinion. Here is mine.

Your truck is a Highlander. If you haven't already looked at this thread please post your spid and some pics of your truck on the thread.

Not sure if this was posted here yet...It's the only known 68 C-30 with 9 foot long stepside that has the anniversary package. A board member in Florida purchased this.

GM reused trim and paint codes often so even though 72 Avacodo Plaid Highlander pickups were coded 613, this earlier 70 has in fact green custom cloth trim with the same 613 code.

Interesting to see code 598 Medium Green in Special Two-Tone (white roof and rockers) it isn't common.

Until January 1968 trucks were not required by federal regulations to have defrosters. GM offered the option to delete the heater/defroster for credit.

Re: SPID Picture thread?

1972 Cheyenne

It's not all original (454 in place of the 350, tilt steering lost sometime in it's life, different bed with steel floor and not wood (dang!)) but it's pretty neat! Well done major restoration done on it and I've been redoing/doing the finish work since I got it. Fun to drive!

Here's mine. 1969 GMC 910. I'll list off the options since it's really hard to read and partly damaged. Looks like an oddball mix to this newb. Has rear coils and appears original, even though not listed on SPID.
