Re: late build thread...LOL
I have managed to read this entire thread during my down time here at work. Amazing looking ride. I am picking up a 1990 Suburban this week. From what I can see it looks as if in the beginning it has just a small c-notch in the rear. Is that correct?

Re: late build thread...LOL
Yes that is correct, still has the same notch because when I did the bodydrop I Z'd the rear and the front

Re: late build thread...LOL
First off as you know this 'burb is bad ass! Can't really say more than has been said but I read the whole thread this rainy Sat morning and just one question? I was reading hoping to see the pictures of the body drop and all of a sudden there were just pics of it looking even better than before with the pinch welds on the floor. No one even went "Holy S$*t! He body dropped it!!"
Did I miss that part some where? It was like one page it wasn't and the next page it was a no one even said anything?? |

Re: late build thread...LOL
I'm installing a Porterbuilt C notch this weekend hopefully. I haven't seen anyone use his notch on a Suburban yet. What frame reference point is there that I can use as center point to center the axle in the wheel opening?

Re: late build thread...LOL
Get your truck up on stands, get a plumb bob and plumb down to the floor your frame and pop chalk lines on the floor, then plumb down the front and back of the fender openings and pop those lines, so now you have 4 lines 2 longitudinal and 2 transverse lines. Measure to the middle of the 2 lines for the fender openings and pop that line, now the important part... Use 3-4-5 to see if that line is square to your frame lines
