Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

That's an SPX. Mine's a 225BR. Same-ish boat, mine's Slightly tubbier. If I was better at it, I'd put up a pic. It's wrapped up in storage right now. 6" or so of snow in the next 5 days. Ugh. Thanks for the pic!

Dang, that's a lot of wood! Reminds me of childhood. We hauled it in a 67 Camper Special, 327/TH400.

I'm kinda obsessed with firewood . Right now it windy as hell and about 21° house is a toasty 74 ° . I have electric heat and I would have to sell off a few trucks to pay the electric bill if it was going. I have a honey hole for wood friend owns a horse farm with about 60 acres of woods with trails . He has me keep the dead stuff off the trails and cut whatever I want to . But I mostly take dieing ,leaners and lots of blowdowns.

He called me that 3 huge oaks had been blown down so I'll be getting them in spring . I have about 15 cord cut split and stacked . And 30 in log length the oaks should be another 10 . But if the trunks are nice I'll mill it

I was playing my guitar and the strangest thing happened.

My wife actually paid me a compliment and said that I played well.

She never does that. It makes me wonder what she's up to.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I split all my wood by hand

But it's just knotty pine, not oak etc.

Got my brush saw and my old chainsaw back from the shop on Friday. Surprisingly the old chainsaw didn't need too much, so now I theoretically have two good running saws. I've only run the new one a few minutes so far. This next week I need to get off my butt and start cutting all the juniper regrowth around the house now that I have the brush saw running (supposedly!) again.

Over the last couple evenings I got Blue ready for Las Vegas laps for charity this Sunday. Washed, waxed, ceramic coated. Can’t wait to hit the banking in a pack of 5th Gen Camaros at 100-120mph.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I built this. I had to stop on the bigger one behind it to get this done for a Saturday install. Started yesterday mid-morning, finished this afternoon, about 11 hours total. It gets a couple of matching file cabinets under each end. The guys in the cabinet department built them yesterday.
The pics don't do it justice. it looks overexposed? The silver part looks like brushed aluminum and the tops are a light woodgrain pattern.

Finally got back to Liberty SC and all my parts where here. I got the hub cap fixed on the Impala and I even got the rear view mirror mod finished up. The mirror has home link, temperature & compass in it. I can open the garage door with a touch of my finger. I can see the temperature and know which way I'm head all in a glance. You can barely see the wires.

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

50 something here today. Cleaned a bunch of moldy hay out of the barn and dumped it out on some fallow ground.

Rode my horse bareback around the arena for a few minutes.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Nothing but SNOW. I plow my driveway with a quad and a 4 foot snow plow. I went out 4 times yesterday to try to keep up. There was about 6 more inches this morning on the ground and the snow changed to wet and heavy. I'm pretty sore today. I'm getting too old for the quad. I think it's time to either hire someone or put a plow on my truck. We got about 19" total with this storm.

I wouldn't make it up north ya'll.

As of today, our tv meteorologist said it has been 1,112 days since we had more than 1" accumulation in central Arkansas. And I'm ok with that.

Yeah, winter is great. You can just keep beer in the bed in a box, no cooler, always cold. You don't have to make buying ice cream your last stop before rushing home. No bugs. And when it snows for days you can just hang around eating being lazy and not have to explain yourself.

Forty or fifty years ago I read about a guy who lived in the NWT way up a tributary of the Mackenzie where there was a hot springs.

He built two or three little cabins and lived up there with his native wife. They only had to cut wood just to cook. The hot springs heated the cabins. They could go ski or dogsled and then jump in the warm pool and watch the northern lights.

I guess now there's a damn national park and a resort up there

In the sixties, we lived in the Frazier, Granby, CO area. I could go explore all day on my motorcycle and not see a soul.

First time I saw Taylor Park was in 1967. I thought it looked like pictures of Alaska.

Took me a while to actually live there.

Was it still a logging camp then? Was the reservoir there then? I'll bet the road wasn't paved.

What a difference 900 miles makes....

I plowed a path in my yard so the oil man can deliver me another 300 or so gallons of oil today. I have a 330 gallon tank and this time of year I get about 4 weeks out of it.
