Re: Project Grande Slam: Coley's Hot Rod Shop

Not sure how to say this .. but I'm going to try. I thought most of the people I usually talk to on the forum would be reachable using this thread.

After a lot of consideration and deliberation in my mind I have to make a decision.

After a couple of bad deals and just general day-to-day I have decided I'm going to respectfully bow out of the forum. I am likely going to move over to the 'other' forum just to hit the reset button and try again meet some new friends and possibly reconnect with some old ones. I am a member of several other forums too (Jeeps and 1st Gen Camaros)

I have met a lot of good friends on the forum and those of you who have met me / know me will know why I have decided to make the move. Those who don't I'd like to personally say Thank You for everything.

I'm keeping both my trucks and just enjoying the time with my old man. I have a friend whom I have been buying parts from for the last 20+ years so I'm not really loosing my parts connections .. it's just overall commentary and the fact is you really can't express tone or 'emotion' on the things you type. Yes, some things have happened and I really just have a bad taste in my mouth over it. Not upset, .. and you've probably noticed I don't comment as much as I used to.

If I owe anyone an apology I am truly sorry. I'm stepping out. Good luck to you guys, it's been fun.

Take Care
Chad

What?
Don't leave.
Just give this place a break.
I really hope you reconsider.

Not sure what the problem was but they say time heals all wounds. Just give it a break. I enjoy watching your thread and would like to see the finished products of both builds.

Compared to the other forums I frequent, this one is definitely the friendliest. Sorry you got a bad taste. Sometimes, it's just a few bad apples...

Re: Project Grande Slam: Coley's Hot Rod Shop

With a few days to think about it and trying to steer myself away from something I truly enjoy, guys I can't do it. This stuff is in my blood. This site is my stress release and I have a ton of friends on here, whom I respect like my 'family'. I removed all my tread subscriptions, etc. .. now it's like something is missing. My cell phone is silent. My wife even asked me what was up.

The constant beeps from Losh's thread .. Laughing at posts from Shawn and others too .. I miss it already. I can't keep my battery charged from all the 67Cheby updates. .. but I really do miss it.

My initial decision to just go away was intended for damage control, not because I wanted to go. I'm just not one to dwell on things for very long. I have over $20k wrapped up in my trucks and the fact is, this hobby is not the same without friends to share it with.

I'm over it, I have made ammends with the people that lead me to feel I needed to leave. I have my refund and an incredible respect for the Executive Staff on this forum. The other forum is sloooooowww.. Nowhere near the posts or excitement that goes on here.

Another thing is my Dad is on here. This is our line of communication sometimes. It sucks not hearing from my Pop.

I can't stay off this site. I can't .. It's like a disease.

More updates to come. My bed fenders and back panel are done and really look nice. I'll post some pictures in a little while.

Thanks for understanding. I will sacrifice myself before I sacrifice a friendship. It's that simple.
