Re: 68 project
lol. that's the bed side. I was there when we did the floor jack test on the front. if the bed sides scrap after putting the new springs on you forgot to tighten the front passenger side bolt.

Re: 68 project
Someone also came by and forced me to take one of my wings apart, so I figured I might as well get the finish on it

Re: 68 project
Yes yes someone did come by and force you to do it. Guilty as charged. Then the guilty party had to go home and tear theirs apart because they had so much fun they wanted to try it. Always learn something when I come by. Had to have some reason to come by other than to stare at your truck.
I'm telling yall the pics of this truck are amazing but to see it in person it will take your breath away. It is BEAUTIFUL! He is a perfectionist. |

Re: 68 project
cknfrmr has been doing most of the work. I had good drive yesterday, I am really liking it when I can actually assemble something with knowing I do not have to take it back apart.

I went to Maaco to get an estimate the other day and I told the estimator I had used some Rustoleum primer and she told me they would have to take it all off $$$ ...so I'll be doing a lot of sanding anyway. I really plan on taking "Auto Restoration" at Community College and doing myself but was just curious. Started talking $3000 or more just to primer....WTH? I do use SEM High Build primer I should've asked if that's ok.?? And I used Epoxy on the inside cab, esp the floor.

Re: 68 project
Actually if you look at post 546 page 22 you will see the color that is the color the entire truck will be. This the gray rimer I sprayed yesterday. It is a primer fill which is good to help fill imperfections and light scratches. I did use epoxy primer over the bare metal.

Re: 68 projecrecreatt
Larry Larry Larry although I would love to take credit for doing work on your truck that is all you. All I do at the shop is ask questions and learn. Then go home and try to recreate the small simple things. Like redoing my vent windows. You are the master.
