Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

The tag axle was added at some point in time . Could have been off of anything Looks like an old IHC axle. Maily to take weight off the main drive axle.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

I saw this 64 C10 a couple of days ago in front of a Goodyear store in Lincoln NE. Then yesterday it was at a shop in Walton NE, just east of Lincoln. Had to stop and then spoke to the shop owners. It is reported to be an all original, unrestored truck. There was not a spot of rust to be seen. It did have some usage, wear on the tailgate, a few dings, tear on the seat, but was otherwise a remarkably well preserved truck. Even the bed wood was intact, one plank was a bit warped, but not rotted at all. The guy who brought it in was getting tires on it and do some brake work so that they can ship it to his son somewhere in New York. And what in the picture looks like patina is actually just a layer of dust from storage. I would love to talk to the owner and get the history. Paint looks like it could be buffed and would be showroom condition.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

I purchased some parts from the owner of this beautiful 66, long, fleet, big window, 327, powerglide truck last week. He is selling this truck along with a nice little selection of parts.

Normally I inhabit the 73 - 91 Blazers forum. Up in Northern California for Thankgiving and saw a couple of old trucks relevant to this forum today. Will get pis tomorrow and post for ID from the experts.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

As promised. Northern California just south of eureka. I have seen these for a few years now and every time I'm up here I try to speak to the owner but it's a workshop and I have never (in ten years) seen a human being here.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

The Apache at the far end has a V8 and it looks like it would fire right up given a battery and a polish. Bed rusted out of course. Nearer Apache has a straight 6.

Not sure what years these are, I presume about 60/61. But they're super cool.

Yesterday at the High School in Superior AZ

Right behind it

This 63 is just down the street from the high school.

Dump truck a couple of blocks away

On the main drag into the center of town. Used to be his Dad's.

The other side of the river near the US60.

Really in ARIZONA?

I like how it's circular with a line running in it but not through it.

Re: 60-66 Chevy Truck spotters thread.

Little late, but I took this in July of 2015 at the ABBA Museum in Stockholm, Sweden. One of the members of the band, in a band call the Hep Stars and pre-dates ABBA, travelled in this truck, or one like it.
