Don't look to close, I'm having welder problems.
Most likely the panel is rusty on the back side causing all the pitting.

...but here's a couple pics showing the dents before I started, as mentioned above, don't bust on my arse about the last two, it's not finished.

It's not a "do everything" kind of tool but definitely worth it's weight in gold when you need it.

Went out and got the spare tank for the welder filled yesterday...

Here's a better response w/pics to your question Mike.

The pass. rocker had a decent dent in it, about the same size as when you cup your hand.

The repair took less than 10 minutes using the stud welder & slide hammer, seriously.

I would assume thoes 'rods' welded to your sheetmetal are there to pull out the dent? How is that done?

Burt, it's a stud puller... spot welder welds those on then use a slide hammer to pull it, while the metal's still warm.

Don't forget to fill that gaping hole in the front of the rocker box with Great Stuff. I hear that really keeps them from rusting!!!!!!!

Didn't care for the number of 'little' rust holes I found on the drivers rocker...so out it came.

Turned out to be the right decision.

Nope, done with that awhile ago...the box is heading for recycling.

Great build thread. Do you have anymore pics of the inflatable wheels you put under the body of the Blazer to move it around? I need to make something like that so I can roll my tub on and off a trailer and around the garage.

My apologies but I'm not understanding the question about inflatable wheels...??

Both times I changed over the tub, all I did was lift it straight up and let it back down.

On page one of this thread there is a picture of the tub in a garage sitting on a flatbed trailer. It looks like some pieces of angle iron were bolted into the door hinge holes. At the bottom of the angle iron it looks like there are small wheels attached with flat tires (possibly used to roll it up the trailer?) That's what it looks like, anyway.
